Dark eyes stare intently at the device, a mouth partially hidden behind a collar of red held together by a series of small black belts.]

What world is this?

[Perhaps others would have better insight than those he has come across thus far.]

[Faramir does not know what this thing is but he has quietly watched others using them, and the last person at this terminal had left it on, so that when he walked past he saw the pale man speaking.

At first he simply stares. He has seen others talking into the device but it tastes of dark magic to his senses and Faramir frowns, cautious about using it.]

What an odd witchcraft.

[It was interesting, the idea that there were many - many - others in this place that did not know. So why were they gathered? Knowledge, as many have challenged, was power.. thus what power can a bunch of gathered individuals offer if they are void of knowledge?]

[But no mirror spoke words, least not one beyond what an elf perhaps might come into possession of. Faramir did not know much of elves or their magic but he trusted their magic more than what came from the darkness of Mordor.]

[Well well, he knows that face. Only too well. Of course, he can't resist replying.]

Our current residence is called simply the Tower. I know many things about it, but not the name of the world where it stands.

The world was yet too large for me to know all of its corners, so to answer your question I must simply state that I do not know.

All I knew of was Middle-earth, and my home lands therein.

I would assume that it is not.

[This was the fact for many of them, though he was still waiting to find one, at least one person, who was native to this Tower.]

Several individuals control it, but their true names and natures are not known to us.

They are researchers who claim to have "rescued" us from our supposedly destroyed worlds. We are now their experimental subjects, if they are to be believed.

I have not heard of Gaia. [It sounded elvish to him.]

[Vincent's brows furrowed and he looked down at himself. He wore familiar clothes, not that white suit he woke up in, he did not look any different than what he looked like on his world –– as far as he could tell the garments he wore were not unusual. Though they might be to a stranger of Gaia.]

No. [Though he was not quite certain what an elf.. was. A child's toy came to mind, for some reason. Perhaps Marlene had a toy, book, or doll that she had expressed a familiar word for –– elf.. elf.]

As I said, that was their claim. I suppose one could see it that way if our worlds were truly destroyed and they have preserved our existences, but it is difficult to believe such an incredible claim without incredible evidence, wouldn't you say?
