[Faramir does not know what this thing is but he has quietly watched others using them, and the last person at this terminal had left it on, so that when he walked past he saw the pale man speaking.

At first he simply stares. He has seen others talking into the device but it tastes of dark magic to his senses and Faramir frowns, cautious about using it.]

They are researchers who claim to have "rescued" us from our supposedly destroyed worlds. We are now their experimental subjects, if they are to be believed.

Hello there!

The common name for this structure is 'The Tower', although it's far from a world of its own. There does seem to be something of a 'world' beyond it, but to my knowledge no one in the tower has yet been able to reach it.
