[Hey Tower, did you miss this soccer kid? No? Well he missed you!

But unlike the others who were with him during that long month of tests and whatnot, he's not going to talk about how his well being is or where his friends are or anything like that.

No, he could talk to them later, he was sure. Right now, he was a bit pissed off and it's apparent by the stern glare he was giving the network. You might not be able to see his eyes from behind his goggle lens, but it's quite obvious that they're narrowed in anger.

Oh, did I mention that he was wearing a quite peculiar soccer uniform?]

[Yes, arms crossed and glare set, there is only one thing he needed to say.]

Who went through my trunk?

[You see, when he opened his trunk, that uniform was tucked neatly inside, but the rest of his clothes were nowhere to be found. His soccer ball was missing too and a few of the other things had obviously been moved around.

And he'd keep wearing the clothes he wore during the past event but who wants to wear the same outfit for over a month without washing it?]

[He doesn't know why Kidou would apologize to that but he just shrugs it off as he takes out the two soccer uniforms that he's currently not wearing (Shin Teikoku and Inazuma Japan) followed by his school uniform and throws them on his bed for Kidou to look at.]

Yeah, I do. I'll look for them and you can decide which of those you want.

[He indicates at the uniforms with a nod of his head.]

[And naturally, he takes the Inazuma Japan uniform. He refuses to even look at the Shin Teikoku uniform and the school uniform wasn't very comfortable to walk around in.] Thanks, again.

[And he shuffles over next to his own bed and changes clothes, setting Genda's uniform neatly on the bed.]

It's nothing.

[He doesn't bother looking up as he replies since he's busy shifting through his things to look for the packet of hair ties he knows is there--

--but in the process he finds something else.]

Oh.

[He hears Sakuma's small exclamation and walks over] What's wrong?

Nothing but--

[He pulls out the FFI trophy, confused.]

--I'm pretty sure I didn't have this before.

Ah. [He tilts his head and smiles a bit sadly.]

It's nice to have it now though, isn't it? [It brings back a lot of fond memories, after all.]

It is.

[He turns it around in his hands and stares at it for a bit longer, remembering the sense of achievement when they won the tournament. Then gently, he places it back inside his trunk and continues his search for hair ties.]

Do things randomly turn up like this often?

[He's guessing it's the tower's doing, considering Kidou had something show up too but he's not entirely sure of how he feels about this.]

After each event, it seems. [He moves to his own trunk and pulls out a photo of Inazuma Japan, taken after the team had one. He hands it out to Sakuma to show him.]

This was placed in my trunk after the first experiment I was thrown into.

[He takes the photo and finally, a small smile appears on his face.]

It was fun, wasn't it.

[He's focused on the photo more than the fact that Kidou received it after he was in an experiment.]

[And upon seeing Sakuma smiling again after what seems like so long, it puts a smile back on Kidou's face.]

Yeah, it was. I wish we could go back to those days, those days of playing soccer with Endou and the rest.

So do I. It was so easy, now that I think about it. The biggest thing we had to worry about was our next opponent.

[He continues looking at the picture.]

I wonder how the others are doing.

They're probably doing alright. They have the best Captain to keep their spirits up, after all.

[Sakuma chuckles lightly.]

That's true! I guess there's no use worrying about them when they have Endou there.

[While he's never been particularly close with the boy, he definitely understands his skills to inspire others.

Finally, he holds out to give it back to Kidou.]

Ah, they're probably worried about us, though. [He takes it back and sets it neatly into his trunk.]

But I'm sure they'll get by without us for now. [He's quiet for just a moment, before speaking up again.]

Genda kept Haruna safe while we were gone. I'm not sure if you've seen him yet, but it looks like they had a really tough time.

I want to do something for him, to show my gratitude.

[He notices Kidou's change in mood but he understands. Despite the tower being what it is, he has to the two people he considers his best friends with him but Kidou on the other hand-- he's sure he misses Endou and Gouenji so Sakuma's glad for the subject change.

He nods slightly.]

The last month wasn't easy on anyone. Doing something for him sounds like a good idea though.

[He places a hand to his chin thoughtfully.]

I wonder what I could do though...

[He continues thinking as well as he goes back to shifting things around in his trunk.]

Is there anywhere with cats here? We tried looking before but, well, that ended up in failure.

[his short hair is a reminder of that.

Finally he pulls out a packet of hair ties though and holds it out to Kidou.]

Here.

[He takes the pack and picks a red hairband from it. He hands it back and puts the band in his mouth as he pulls his goggles down around his neck so he can take the hairband out and start putting his hair back up. While he does this, he thinks.] Anywhere with cats, huh?

Where did you guys look? There should be some kind of animals like cats in some of the floors with plants, like the forest floor. [After his hair is back in a nice ponytail, he puts his goggles back on and crosses his arms.] Since the power is back on, it will probably be easier for us to search.

Well, we did go to some forest but something tried to attack us. I haven't had a chance to look anywhere else though because we wound up in that competition not long after.

Why don't we go back and look again, then? By the sounds of it, you two didn't get a long chance to look before a monster got to you, and now that the Tower is working again, it should be a bit safer. [If not they could always bring a soccer ball with them for protection]

[He nods.]

That doesn't sound like a bad idea. I hope we do find some cats then.

[Since he has penguins, Genda should have cats too.]

Alright, let's get going then. [He smiles and walks to the other side of the room, holding the door open for Sakuma. ~~Ladies first~~]

[~~What a gentleman.~~

Sakume quickly puts away the clothes that Kidou didn't take and throws them into his trunk before getting up and following his friend to the door.]

Where do you think Genda is right now?

[Once outside, he turns back to face Kidou as he talks.]

He's probably in his room or practicing in the meadow. [He steps out of the room and closes the door behind him. Though, when he tries to take another step, he feels a sharp pain in the back of his head which makes him wince.]

...what? [He tries turning his head to see the problem but that only makes the pain worse.]

[Sakuma frowns when Kidou stops walking.]

What's wrong?

[He backtracks and--]

Your hair is stuck.

[Kidou, how did you even manage that...]
