[There’s nothing but a boring background for a few minutes, then whiskers pop in from the side. A cat moves his face into the screen and starts walking over the keyboard.]

[He plops down right in the middle and watches letters running across the screen. His head moves in the same direction. The letters aren’t stopping. He pokes at the growing line with his paw, meowing.]

[Okay, that did it. Time to find out exactly where this cat is and figure out the problem. Cats generally leave things alone unless they want something.]

Hm, I suppose looking for someone isn't really an option considering independence. I don't recommend hunting the mice here since they eat the creeping mushrooms that could be toxic...processing...

[Swish, swish, goes his tail, back and forth, back and forth. He is acting like a normal cat, just much smarter.

The cat nods, like it understands what he’s saying. He opens his mouth again, baring tiny fangs. No one except Ishtar can understand his meows and hisses.]

You want something to eat?

[It's by process of elimination...maybe his guess is right? He waits for a reaction.]

[He nods. What a smart kid.]

Okay. I'll find you something that doesn't look like it comes from a sci-fi movie.

[And now it's time to find the cat.]

Um...could you move aside so I can see where you are?

[A what? Duzell doesn’t know what the kid’s talking about.]

Meow.

[He stretches up on his hind legs and struts off to the side, showing the background: one of the random floors that had this weird box.]

I think I better get back-up first.

[Because the last time he went out alone, he became a chew toy. No thanks.]

[Back up? For an innocent little kitty cat? These humans are so suspicious. Duzell almost feels like laughing, but he can’t do that in this form.

He meows again and rubs the side of the screen. Is the boy coming or what?]

[Elian sees the rubbing and sighs with his shoulders dropping.]

Okay, okay, if it's really that important that you need to eat, I'll come and get you. Gaara's not gonna like it that I went off alone again...you won't tell him, right?

[Tell who? The cat tips his head to the side. Like he'd really bother getting friendly with the humans. He wouldn't remember any of their names for sure.]

[ooc: permission to bite? if not, it's okay! :> tasty humans~]

[He turns off the feed to find the cat. He didn't think anything of it at all that some animals feed differently than others. It doesn't take long for him to find said kitty and he lets out his hand to gain the creature's trust...he hopes.]

Well, there you are.

[OOC: I'm cool with it. He might taste a little funny though. He's not entirely human. He's more like an experiment made by humans, more precisely, a clone with a lot of power. Duzell just might get a huge boost from him.]

[What a good kid. Kinda small, but Duzell's hungry, and doesn't feel picky right now.]

Meow.

[He walks over to the edge and rubs his head against the boy's hand. He has to wait for the right moment for the kid to let his guard down, then bite him. He hasn't had any blood since being dumped in this lousy dungeon, and he won't feed from Ishtar.]

[ooc: thanks! oooo, Duzell likes power, and blood, since he's a vampire.]

[So soft...Elian smiles which allows him to relax. He may be a little on the small side, but that never really bothered him that much. The important part is that he's healthy.

He steps in a bit closer to pick up the cat.]

How did you get all the way out here? You remind me of the cats we have back home. They look a lot like you. Did you come from the Lost Ground too?

[It was a long shot, but how can a cat respond to his questions? Elian shrugs.]

That's silly, you wouldn't be able to tell me. That's okay.

Mrrrowl.

[He lets the boy pick him up, hind legs hanging in the air. He's not a very heavy cat, just a furry one. He usually isn't nice to humans, but he has to pretend in this form so they can think he's a regular cat. His mouth stretches open very wide in a yawn. He can take a nap after feeding.

The boy is talking to him, asking him questions like he can answer them. He can only use his head to reply, and he shakes it. He doesn't know what this Lost Ground is, and he doesn't care what other cats look like him, unless they're from Pheliosta.

He opens his mouth again, and this time, it's to remind the boy that he's hungry.]

Oh, that's too bad.

[Elian almost looks a little disappointed that he wasn't from his world but that soon changes when he notices the gesture of hunger.]

That's right. I need to find you something to eat.

[With the cat in his arms, he nearly can't hold all the fluff in his small arms. He walks around with the cat toward the cafeteria, still unsuspecting that vampires can be in cat form too.]

[This boy might learn how to talk to him in cat form, if he sticks around long enough. If someone as dense as Ishtar could do it, why not someone else?

He already knows the cafeteria won't have anything he wants, and starts squirming in the kid's arms.]

[absolute_perception]

[The squirming makes him stop in his steps to regard the cat's reactions. Even he had to agree that the food was nasty there.]

Okay, okay, not there. I have to agree. Even I don't find anything appetizing there. Um...so what is it that you eat?

[Goooood question. He's gonna answer that for you really soon!

He bends his head down and licks the back of his hand with his rough cat tongue. If it tickles him enough, the bite won't hurt too much. The boy'll likely end up dropping him after.]

[Elian watches with curiosity. The clone hasn't had any animal react to him positively other than a gerbil. The rough tongue does tickle a little at first. Then again, he hadn't experienced too many sensations from being protected by his father.

Since being sheltered, it's a sure bet that he's pretty much going to let the cat do as he pleases.]

I see. You're obviously a carnivore. I guess the meat there isn't to your liking and you prefer your catches live. Hm, I don't know if I'll taste any good.

[He flinches slightly.]

That didn't sound right.

[What a brave kid. Duzell might be a tiny bit impressed. Maybe. Is he really going to let him bite him without screaming for an adult to come save him? He's smarter than Duzell would think, for a human kid.

Time to test it out. He stops licking to bare his fangs and bites the boy's hand. His claws dig into his arms so the kid won't throw him ten feet across the room.]

[absolute_perception]

[Elian feels those claws dig in but he doesn't cry out. His eyes shut tight and his teeth clinch, which is the extent of his pain expression. His threshold is very high.]

I...understand.

[sanguine_corruptio_lamia]

[This kid really is something. He isn't even screaming or anything.

The bite doesn't last long, and after he pulls out of his hand, he licks at the small holes in his skin. His tongue is rough, but warm, at least.]

[absolute_perception]

[If he wasn't good for anything else, he could at least sustain a creature to keep them from dying. It was a small price to pay and he wasn't about to have another death on his shoulders if he could help it.

Once the cat finished and he felt the lick, his eyes opened and he stroked the cat's thick fur.]

It's okay, you don't have to apologize. You were doing what comes naturally to you.

[Bad kid. Now Duzell might feed from you later, when he feels hungry again. See what you started?

Are you kidding? He's not gonna apologize. He is licking his hand to pick up those last few drops of blood. He doesn't care if the boy feels better or not.

But since he's trying to pass off as a cat, he starts purring a little, just loud enough to be heard by the kid.]

[Welp, it looks like it might just be the case. He's not going to tell anybody about it. The purring did comfort him a little more and the incident was soon forgotten.]
