he's also sweating so profusely it's making his skin glisten, and in one hand he's holding half the keyboard. the other half is currently not in view.

once he opens his mouth, it becomes obvious he's missing some teeth.]

I demand information pertaining to the nature of my current location and, if known, the location of any other trolls currently sharing my predicament.

[He passes a hand over his forehead, brushing off moisture. When he looks back at the camera, his expression softens slightly.]

I see no reason to assume something so important has changed simply because our surroundings have.

[he pauses, then.]

Do you understand the reasons behind our circumstances, or are you just another captive?

Supposedly, our benefactors did it to save us from the destruction of our worlds.

While I did not believe them initially, there seems to have been those of us who have been sent back home for a time to see that either our worlds have indeed been destroyed...or it's a very elaborate trick.

If you're from the human planet, Earth, that was indeed the case. Same as ours. I don't quite see how this place factors into the matter, however.

Thing is, though - there's alternate realities to factor in. A lot of us are from Earth, but from different time periods, and there are prominent figures in different people's realities that do not exist in others.

As for this tower - this isn't home. Things are different here.

What else about this place strikes you as particularly unusual?

As much as we have people arriving, they're also disappearing. Some of them come back, some don't - replaced by the new ones.

So there's an instability of some sort in the mechanism that brought us here, but nobody has any idea what it is, where it is, or how it works?

And what is the point of these gosh-darned good-for-nothing collars?

Pretty much, save for where it is. It's logical to assume that it's somewhere in the tower, we just don't have access to it.

The collars keep us physically stable here, according to our keepers.

They're also impervious to damage, it seems.

I will look for it, then. If it's an actual machine of sorts, I might be able to fix it, or at least learn more about its function.

Yes, even with my admirable strength, I was unable to remove it. I'll admit, with some reluctance, that it's impressive handiwork.

Good luck. I've been here since the beginning, and haven't found anything like that in all my time here.

Seems like none of the superpowered individuals here can get the things off with any of their abilities.
