...When someone leaves...
What happens to them?
[The question seems to be relatively simple, but he hasn't really researched much into them. Maizono-san and Enoshima-san are both missing, and after checking their rooms, it appeared that they're really... gone...]
...And if they're dead before their arrival here, would they return to their former state when they're sent back?

[Given that he's not someone with high-leveled deductive skills, he's still grasping at straws on how they're all still alive in this tower.]
After all, we all saw their...bodies back home, right?

Or at least, that's what they claimed.

Didn't they say our world was destroyed?! How could we leave this place then??? [ he doesn't even realise the girls are gone yet, but.. ]

[Network trawling is convenient like that alright.]

Regrettably, I doubt we would be given an honest explanation anyway
However
Have you ever heard of the quantum immortality theory?
no subject
[Though, he has a feeling he's going to be in a doozy of an explanation.]
I am sorry for star tl;dr
There is a bullet in only one cylinder
You put the gun to your head, and you pull the trigger
There are two outcomes most make of this- life, and death
If you die, you are unable to observe anything further
If you live, you observe your own survival
Now, let's say that you keep pulling the trigger, until there is only one shot left
You would think you are now guaranteed to die
However, that is not true
There are many things that could cause someone to survive
Let's say you've survived all six clicks
That's quite impressive, isn't it?
But at each of those pulls of the trigger, there was still a possibility of dying, even if you perceived your survival
Now, pretend each of those clicks are like branches
One will lead to a reality in which you have died
The other, to your continued cognition
In this way, even if you had died, there is still a path in which you could have lived
Of course, this is a simplified explanation
There are an infinite amount of paths and ways mankind could come to pass, or exceed expectations and limits
But I have watched over man for eons
Even if your friends are dead in your singular branch, there are branches in which they will survive
That, in a sense, is a sort of immortality
and yet all of those is strangely fitting for naegi........
stardad comes with a heavy dose of irony

I guess so, but I'm just really worried for them...
[It's one thing being dead in a world, and an entirely different thing being the only living person left in a certain world.]
Text
People say that they have returned to their worlds alive, but...
Given the behavior patterns of the tower's administrators, that still doesn't guarantee anything.
[By which she means she hasn't discarded the possibility that it's just more messing around with alternate universes.]

[It's a little bit of a possibility, but if they're anything like Monobear, then...]

I have a theory. Before I came to this place, I was in a world not my own, brought by "rifts". I should think that our hosts bring us here by deliberately utilizing them, somehow, and that for the most part they may control them. But like many natural things - I assume the rifts to be natural - I should not think they have control of all of them at all times. Perhaps those that are gone have been taken away by a natural rift and are in another world, hopefully one that is not destroyed.
[text]
[text]
I do not believe the rifts are visible or larger than one person. I was with five others when I was taken from Earth, and I was the only one who emerged on the other side. In addition, I neither saw nor experienced anything unusual: I took one step at home and in the next, I was not.

That is the logical conclusion to draw. Death is inevitable, unless they return to the tower or are transported elsewhere.
ah, sorry for being so slow...!
[That was blunt, but to be honest, that's what he's expecting...]
...Mm, I guess it'd make sense for that to happen, wouldn't it.
[text]
So you shouldn't worry too much.

[text] Aaaah so sorry for being late!
They're dead back home.
[text] It's okay, don't worry <3
They're not dead anymore, are they?
