[ Seemingly quite distressed despite everything said and done, a weary Haldir appears after several days of pure silence on his part. While many seem quite grateful and thankful for the feast, Haldir seems utterly aloof about it. Many probably would assume he's just being his usual "self" but those who do know him could probably sense his melancholic state. ]

They give us a feast to celebrate, yet I see no reason why we should. Had those fools acted sooner, we could've avoided such needless destruction.

[ He grumbles. ]

Perhaps there's no reason to lament so, yet still...

[ Unsure what to say, Haldir gives up and tries to set his bad mood aside. ]

Tell me, friends, is all well? Alucard, Legolas? I have not heard from many since the travesty first unfolded.

[ A soft sigh escapes him. ]

I must know, what sort of fate has befallen upon The White Wizard? He is another I have not heard from in some days now. The same goes for so many others who I'm certain attempted to be valiant in the face of death.

While I believe he's no idiot, I must confess he does "nag" quite a bit.

He's an idiot to nag. [ Not that he means it with much malice. Sho does like the Kei mk II after all. ]

Perhaps you're right about that.

[ There's some mirth in his tone. ]

I take that you are "Sho". I remember that Alucard addressed his nagging to two unlucky individuals. One being me and the other being you.

Indeed, I am. It seems we've already known other even without meeting.

Looks like it. So... You're an Elf, right? I ran into this kid during the whole mess that sort of has the same look about him.

[ A faint chuckle nearly escaped him once that question was asked. ]

Indeed, I am. I'm a Sindarin Elf who hails from the forest realm of Lothlórien.

I really have no idea where that is, but it sounds nice. I didn't see many big forests where I come from.

You don't? That's quite a shame...

I cannot imagine straying too far from the forests for long, hence why my stay here is quite taxing at times.

It was a pretty big city, though the park was nice if impractical. We were by an ocean after all.

I'm missing the salt in the air and the food is pretty weird. It's way too European for me.

What is that?

Uh... [ How does one actually explain what Europe is to someone that hasn't been there? ]

It's a group of countries to the West of my homeland. They use a lot of potatoes and heavy meats and not as much fish and seafood as the Japanese.

[ Good question! Sadly, no one has an answer for that but Sho has done well enough. ]

As fond as I'm of potatoes, I cannot confess a love for meat.

It's okay, I guess. It's expensive to have beef and pig, though chickens we raised in pens next to the rooftop gardens.

A rooftop garden? Now that's a rather novel idea.

It is? It's pretty normal where I grew up. There never was space to have a garden at ground level but the roofs get sun and rain all the time.
