[ The display appears to be pitch black at first, but over time a kneeling, hunched over figure gradually comes into view, it only appears to be an outline in the dark, occasionally illumiated by the flickering of short-circuiting electrics. The figure is in black and has long, pale (almost white) hair.

No words are spoken, only the occasional sound of a
crunching, mauling, sucking noises can be heard.

The lights flicker on and off once more and with lighting fast reflexes the figure turns, stares unblinkingly at the device, the red reflection of its retinas stoic in the darkness, its hand reaches for the device and turns it off in less than a second.

[April looks a lot more happier than she did the last time she made a post on the network, though instead she just seems very hesitant about something. And people may notice that she has a Bullfairy being held in her arms for some reason...]

Ah, um... I-I'm just wondering if anyone would be willing to give me combat lessons, m-mainly with sword fighting or just hand-to-hand combat. I promise I will pay you back in some way and... I, um, a-appreciate any help...

[She glances away for a moment, awkwardly clearing her throat, before she remembers something.]

O-oh, and Amalia, I'm still up for giving you those tech lessons if you still want them. And if anyone else would want tech lessons, I would be glad to help. Or, um, if you want any tech made, I can help with that too... Well, when the workshop is repaired.

[There's a slightly pause after that, almost as if she was gonna say something else, but she seems to change her mind.]

[ Seemingly quite distressed despite everything said and done, a weary Haldir appears after several days of pure silence on his part. While many seem quite grateful and thankful for the feast, Haldir seems utterly aloof about it. Many probably would assume he's just being his usual "self" but those who do know him could probably sense his melancholic state. ]

They give us a feast to celebrate, yet I see no reason why we should. Had those fools acted sooner, we could've avoided such needless destruction.

[ He grumbles. ]

Perhaps there's no reason to lament so, yet still...

[ Unsure what to say, Haldir gives up and tries to set his bad mood aside. ]

Tell me, friends, is all well? Alucard, Legolas? I have not heard from many since the travesty first unfolded.

[ A soft sigh escapes him. ]

I must know, what sort of fate has befallen upon The White Wizard? He is another I have not heard from in some days now. The same goes for so many others who I'm certain attempted to be valiant in the face of death.

[ Some time after the tower is overcome with violent quaking Alucard feels the need to send out a signal. With no concern as to who sees or hears him he broadcasts a short, blunt and cold message. It sounds more like a command than any distress call or cry for help. ]

Haldir and Sho. You will contact me the moment you receive this message.

I'm going up. The two of you, however, are not.

Things are becoming increasingly dangerous. Several warnings have gone out already as well as offers of assistance

Make haste to the lowest possible floor that you can.

If you cannot, contact me immediately. I will be assisting those that need it so that we have as many people safely relocated as can be.

Forgive me for being presumptuous, but:

In addition to the previous warnings, one of the rulers of this tower was gracious enough to indicate that there may be an earthquake coming, or worse.

Please be careful, everyone.

Thank you for hearing me out.

[Lina is on the network once again, this time with a proper question rather than overreacting over something.]

I know there's other magic-users here - I'm curious if any of you have tried to use your magic to get out of here. I've tried several times so far - different spells and locations, and only gotten my powers taken away and a lot of shocks for my trouble. [She scowls a bit, then huffs.] That said, trying to get out by force, even if it's magical seems to be a lost cause - so I'm wondering if anyone else might have some kind of alternative methods to consider using. Has anyone tried teleportation magic, for starters?

[ It is a perfectly good and responsible looking young man that appears on the network's screen. Don't go say the contrary. His voice is collected and calm as he talks, with perfect manners. ]

Very interesting machine... Allowing anyone to speak from a distance. If only it could be reduced and made portable...

[ He looks up at the camera afterward and nods. ]

Forgive my manners. Like you may have guessed, I am new to this tower. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Lezard, Lezard Valeth.

Speaking of which, this tower is certainly an interesting place… So many possibilities, so much to discover. It's a shame that for us to be here our homeworlds had to die. Such a high price to pay for such little reward….

[ He readjusts his glasses. ]

Does anyone here have concrete proof one way or another as far as the fate of our worlds are concerned? The letter and projection are not proof enough to me I'm afraid, no matter how likely to be the truth it is.

Any group of research that may confirmed the veracity of the letters maybe?

Oh, and I have heard a lot of talks about people sleeping for abnormally long time period. Do such occurrence happen often in the tower?

[When the feed turns on, the face of a teenaged girl shows up! The short-haired blonde, violet-eyed girl might seem familiar to some of you. In a vast contrast to her fierce arrival, she seems a bit... nervous?]

Ah, bonjour... my name is Ruler, and I have been here for a little over a week now. It may seem forward, but I... have a request.

[Whatever it is seems to be bothering her, because she hesitates for a few moments before she speaks up again. She sounds almost timid now.]

Are there any residents here with... teaching experience? N-Not training, I am quite capable in that area! I mean...

[Ugh, she has to just spit it out.] I require... reading lessons. Writing, too, if that is possible...

[And now she's just. Steeling herself! Ugh, being illiterate in this day and age must be so horrible...]

It would appear that I have returned to the tower, and have been assigned a different room. Very strange.

I must ask -- are there others here who have been returned to their destroyed home worlds in the past? While I was previously skeptical, I had a good couple of months to confirm that Earth has indeed been completely razed. Such a pity.

I suppose it's good to be back among civilization once again. I trust you are all doing well.

Ah, I just realized I'm never gonna be able to settle things with Kazzy. Or have a fight with my brother, again. The only two tough bastards that were able to really fight me.

Shit. Even that voyeur's fighting tournament is somethin' I ain't gonna ever see, again. That was really fun. Sledgehammers and swords and general nastiness to get to the top ... no more.

Guess I'm gonna have to make a new hobby outta killin' some of the monsters on the floors. Maybe they can be some sport...

Unless someone wants to start up that sort of tournament here?

So... Let me get this straight. [ Someone sounds grumpy and tired and there's a definite hint of an accent. ] We've been rescued by a group of kind-hearted assholes from Gamma-Beta-Three-A that felt we've just gotta wear collars to match our winning personalities, right? Or am I missing something from the care package left behind in the room?

[ There's a pause filled in with the familiar sound of someone lighting up a cigarette. ]

And I thought this sort of thing only happened in bad movies...

Hey! Anyone around?

[When Kakine woke up and received his letter, the situation struck him as an annoying change of pace, but at this point, not very surprising. His first thought was to go looking for a place to connect to the network, and the terminals were easy for him to find. Business as usual...]

Well, this is a pain in the ass. So, is this a bullshit plot by Academy City's higher ups, another prank courtesy of Asgard's supposed gods, or what?

[He's deadpan and dead serious. It has to be one of those things.]
