Since a number of my associates and familiars seem to have arrived as of late, I am going to take this time to preemptively save us from the task of repeating ourselves as to where everyone is and why certain people/trolls do not remember certain events numerous times. I suppose anyone new can appreciate and make use of this, as well.

You are at The Tower.
We are here because we have been saved from our home worlds, from the certain destruction that they apparently believe we were in. This is the official stance, but many of us here believe it to be more so of a kidnapping, especially those of us that have already had our worlds destroyed numerous times.
They have taken us from various timepoints and timelines, so the memories you have very well may not be the memories another have. Figure out when you are from compared to your friend so you do not have to bumble over your conversations.
While you are here you will be assigned a room, and be given a chest full of your things from home. Make use of these, for as of right now, they are your only source of new clothing and materials.
They will provide you food in the cafeteria, but be extremely careful about the ovens and freezers. If you are not quick, they could close behind you. You are also required to eat oatmeal as your first meal, or you will upheave repeatedly until you do. We do not know why.
The collars that we wear are to acclimate us to the world we are in, and have shown no other function thus far. They may be replaced in the future.
This place has a habit to shift, which can be quite dangerous if you are not careful. If you are wanting to explore the Tower, I highly suggest a buddy system so you will not get hurt.
Lastly, death is not permanent.

[ She's just kind of staring at the network, at her own words reflected back to her. She's a ghost of a person, too proud to admit that there are tears rolling down her cheeks.

Her friends left her. They didn't come for her.
That's Jade's fault.

She doesn't even notice when Rose gets there. ]

Jade?

[Rose is hesitant, a trait not often associated with herself. But this was Jade, doomed Jade, who had survived and lived on earth all alone without anyone else or her friends support.

And even if it was a doomed timeline, they had still left her behind.]

Rose--

[ She turns around then, looking at her friend. A small smile appears on her face despite herself. ]

You're okay.

[ She's too skinny. Earth was not kind to survivors. ]

As are you.

[A small smile was trying to creep upon her face, but it was pushed back by a grimace. Jade, the Jade they had left behind... she was skin and bones. She was hardened, and it appeared as though her cheerful nature had been dampened by hard times.]

I...

[She wanted to pull her friend into an embrace, tell her it was all okay, that she was safe now... but how does express feelings?]

[ Even though she wasn't as cheerful, it wasn't going to stop Jade from giving her best friend a hug. Rose's face worries her -- did Jade do something wrong? She feels the guilt and pushes it away for now. That's something to be dealt with later, she thinks. When no one is around to watch her break down.

Instead, she actually does pull Rose into a hug. ]

It's nice, meeting you in person.

[And she wraps her arms back around her, biting her lower lip gently.]

Yes. This is my first time seeing you in person as well. I've watched you within my crystal ball so this isn't my first time seeing you, but... [She was rambling a little. After a long moment Rose pulls out of the hug, looking Jade over with her hands still lingering on her shoulders.] Do you need anything? A change of clothes, perhaps? I could lend you something of mine and perhaps Kanaya can sew you something of your own... Have you eaten since you've arrived? [If you were astute enough, you could see a guilty look written all over Roses face.

Jade was like this because they left her behind.]

I watched you in the clouds, but I didn't know that you had a crystal ball. [ Jade lets her; the familiarity of meeting someone in person she's talked to for years lets her feel comfortable. ]

Oh...all I have is this outfit and then my dress from Prospit. And Tavros took me to eat, but other than the oatmeal I can't really keep anything down. [ A sheepish smile. ] I think I keep eating too much at once.

[Rose shook her head a little.]

You should be fine to eat now. For some reason the first thing you must eat here is the oatmeal, or else you will upturn your stomach. Would you... like me to lend you something of mine for the time being? Perhaps my squiddles shirt and skirt? [She feels SO bad right now you don't even know Jade.]

Oh... [ She considers this. And then nods. ] That might be nice. I look pretty ridiculous right now, like I murdered somebody or something.

[ A halfhearted attempt at a smile. ]
