[The knight is clad in her blackened armor, red lines running through it like veins, and her five foot height does nothing to reduce her presence. She was used to others being taller than her, so this man towering above bothered her little.]

[To the man, there seems to be... some sort of ominous black aura that soon starts to emanate from him as the moments go on.]

[The aura is noticed, but really, Saber herself shares an unusual kinship with him that's not really apparent. Two dark shadows of something that was originally good, be it whatever paradox created.]

Battler will indeed do. [It wasn't as if Saber was her true name, so aliases were easily accepted.]

[Battler raised his hand, the darkness swirling around it, he stared at his fingers for a moment before glancing back at her.]

As I am unfamiliar with your magecraft, I am unsure what to suggest. I would like you to choose what you consider a clear signature of your ability.

[Signature ability... huh? Well, that would need a little warm up. He smirks at that, taking his hand out of his pocket and breaking out into a run. He's quick, definitely not human- and he jumps up, bringing his leg down in an attempt to kick her. When he does there's a stream of darkness surrounding his kick, a purple tinge to it as well.]

Even with the increased speed, Saber follows the movement and her Instinct allows her to determine his moment of attack. Her own dark energy - hers trailing red - swirled about the arm she easily brings up to block the kick, her armor absorbing the blow.

Battler pushes off of her, jumping back and flipping in mid air before landing on the ground yet again. Battler runs at her once more, barely giving her a chance to retaliate. He goes to bring his arm up, almost as though he's going to punch her, but there's a a rather large stream of darkness surrounding his fist, it almost looks like a claw as it comes up towards her.]

[It almost looks like it's going to hit just before Saber moves with an inhuman speed of her own. Pivoting on her foot, she turns sideways to let the shadowy claw miss, brushing against the dark prana that swirls about her torso, and then grabs at his wrist in the motion.

As tempting as it was, she would not crush the bones with her grip. There was no need. This was very interesting, but a Servant's instincts were what they were. And for Saber, Instinct was a skill that made her very hard to land a blow upon.]
