This place is dangerous, especially at night, and one of our overseers seems to enjoy making certain we know he is in power over us when it's his turn to watch the tower.

Why is it dangerous? Monsters?

[That's just a wild guess, but his basis of thinking is that way. He's from a world that was familiar with monsters, after all.]

*Not careful so much as hesitant to make others worry for him. He prefers to keep things as peaceful as possible.*

Yes, they're more-...much more dangerous at night. Some of the floors are dangerous in their own right as well, if you haven't seen them at this point.*

*Kirito might not have heard him, depending on how soon after he'd said that he'd gone back to check his trunk.

Enoch wonders at the pause, but realizes when he hears the answer that the newcomer must have completely ignored the trunk in their room in favor of immediately looking for more info.*

That will be useful. Any weapon should fare well enough against the monsters that appear in the daytime.

A bit over forty, not counting the living floors. Only a few of them offer any sort of safety, however.

Care to inform me further about the living floors?

There isn't anything more to them than the rooms and the terminals in the halls. You can descend down the tower from the stairs on the lowest, or take the lift on the highest down to the lowest floor of the tower, and some other floors throughout.

Ah...but be careful about taking the lift to the second highest option. The floor there is...it's made of insects. *A pause, as if he still can't believe it.*

If you stand still there, you'll start to fall through them, so you must get to the stairs quickly. I don't know what's below the "floor", but I doubt it's pleasant.

*That wasn't a pleasant experience. At least he managed to get out without dying...*
