Hm. But there's a point where fear can become too much, of course. Those who have to spend their days hoping that they won't be killed by wars that they had no part in... I don't want that kind of fear to exist anymore.

And as I said that kind of fear is necessary. To temper people. To make them strong.

You can't be strong all the time. The world's been at war for too long... I just wish people could live in peace with each other.

I too wish for peace between all peoples. And all creatures.

But in order to maintain peace, to give it meaning, there must also be chaos and war.

Believe me, I understand that more than you could know - but I do wish for one day the war to end. Even if it's only for a little while, I want there to be a time where people don't have to struggle to survive in a world full of people determined to kill them for the smallest thing.

I disagree.

Such conditions are necessary for people to grow. Not that they might always be in danger, but for them to always know that fear and the possibility of it coming yet again.

To allow them to forget it, to become used to safety, is to invite them to laziness. And to destruction.

... I'm sorry, but have you ever been in a war? It's not a pleasant experience - and it's not a state of mind I'd wish on anyone.
