[ Whilst the first thing he'd have liked to do would be to find those in the Tower he counts as friends and reassure them, the months spent in a blood-soaked and rotten Tai kingdom gave him much to think about, and a determination to be of use. SO. He's figured out these terminals already, and he had plenty of time to come up with something to say as he roamed a land so dead even spirits and demons had abandoned it.

Whilst he looks weary and worn, the aura of a ruler of the Twelve Kingdoms isn't so easily banished. ]

Citizens of the Tower. I have been unforgivably late in introducing myself, excepting those few I have had the fortune to meet in person. I am Gyousou, given name Saku, and I was the Peace-King of the kingdom of Tai... until its destruction. [ a wry smile. ] I appreciate that such a title means little, but I hope that those in need of advice or my paltry century of experience will not hesitate to seek it.

As I have been gone awhile, some... [ He glances down at the date on the monitor- ] half a season, I see, I have missed much. Should you have any information on what has happened in the time since summer ended, I would like to hear it.

[This time the suffocating feeling of hope was mixed in with tremendous relief, Gyousou was back. Haldir was right; Taiki should have never let himself give up hope.

Finding the quickest route to his king merely meant running out of his room and phasing through the floor so he landed just next to where Gyousou was on the terminal. He landed in a heap at Gyousou's side.] Lord Gyousou!

[ That answers one question. The child who falls from the ceiling is a far cry from the horrors he'd witnessed in 'Tai', but his greeting smile is pained. ] Kouri. I am glad to see you well.

[Taiki had been sent back to Tai once as well; and there had been many times that Gyousou's dead body had been used as a means of punishing him in this tower; so he understood what the pain in Gyousou's eyes meant and once again felt powerless that he could do nothing against the cruelties of the administrators.]

I am glad you are back... sorry... I know it's not nice here but it's better than...

[ He shakes his head, expression warming. ] I find myself in awe of your strength, to carry on after seeing such things. Were I to do any less, it would be an insult to that.

[Taiki shuffles his feet, not sure what to say or do; since he didn't believe himself worthy of anyone's awe never mind Gyousou's.

He looks down awkwardly.]

[ Baby steps, Taiki. Baby steps towards confidence. Let's change the subject for now. ]

How have you fared this past month? I would like to hear about it.

[These steps are so tiny... The babiest steps towards confidence] I... it was okay... [He spent a lot of time curled up with Sanshi on his bed...] People were put in the wrong bodies, but some people managed to fix that... There was no food after that, I guess Jason got angry...

Legolas and Haldir looked after me and took me for a picnic...

[ Whilst no food isn't as much of a problem for immortals, they are in the extreme minority. Such irresponsibility...

[Taiki gave a tiny smile] I did I promise! It was fun... we had lots of fruit that we got from the woods...

[ Such allies are worth a hundredfold their weight in gems. He is reminded to check on the remaining such allies: ]

Gouran and Sanshi are well?

Yes they are... They missed you too! [He smiled again and peered at the computer.] Sorry... were you talking to someone? [He felt embarrassed about interrupting.]

I felt it time to introduce myself properly. [ have a hand resting on your head. ] There may be some small thing I can do for the people of this tower.

[Have a adorable smile in response to that hand.] That's good... I am sure you can help them all. [Because Gyousou was the best, he could help everyone.]

Ah! You are Lord Gyousou? How fondly Taiki has spoken of you and suffered much sadness when you disappeared.

[ There's the briefest moment of confusion as his mind equates golden hair with kirinhood, before he remembers where he is once more. He doesn't feel guilty for having deprived the kirin; the fault lies elsewhere.

Besides, it is past time he meet the elven prince. ] You must be Legolas, the prince of the Woodland Realm. I am in your debt for the kindness you have shown the taiho.

[He laughs very softly and gives a half bow to the king.]

I am and I see my title is hardly being kept a secret at this point. You owe me no debt, Taiki is very sweet and kind. I've grown quite fond of him.

Then I hope the two of you continue your acquaintance. He has been in remarkably good spirits, which must be due to your care.

Of course, though I'll not take full credit. Haldir was with him much more often than I. I was... preoccupied.

[Translation: Stuck in Gandalf's body.]

[ he shakes his head at Legolas's attempt to downplay his role. ] Nevertheless, a friend is worth more than the treasury of Tai.

[ but speakking of that 'preoccupation'... ] I hear there were a number of trials whilst I was absent.

I could not agree more, though I know nothing of Tai's treasures. Friends are the greatest treasure one could ever have, in my opinion. So long as one has a friend, they are richer than any king. I hope you take no offense to that.

[He chuckles, looking a bit awkward.] Some of us were, ah, placed in bodies that weren't our own. I myself was placed in the body of Gandalf the White.

He was, yes. I daresay it was easier for him than for myself.

[There's sort of confused face looking at you because he's not seen you for a while there roommate, but nevertheless he's at least relieved to see that you're back in this tower...

[ Haldir certainly hopes that the Peace-King of Tai still remembers his voice. If not, the marchwarden will have to remind him. ]

In your absence, Taiki has been in my care. However, I do believe I will no longer be needed.

[ It only takes a few moments to place the voice; the time more from the silence of his dead world than from any unfamiliarity. ] Your care was invaluable, but I would be loathe to see such a friend to both myself and Taiki vanish out of a sense of propriety. [ seriously haldir, bro, stay. ] Unless the taiho was a bother to you?

[ For a moment there, Haldir was actually afraid that Lord Gyousou vanished yet again. ]

A bother he was not, my lord. I was rather honored that Taiki would accept my aid during your absence. As I've come to understand, the Taiho are less eager to trust than my kind.

[ Taiki, slow to trust? He supposes that is the impression he gives, with his reticence, but it saddens him. ] Kirin are by nature sensitive to the faults and folly of others, and Kouri's time in this tower has caused him to withdraw further. My first meeting with him was equally uncertain... But once given, his trust is powerful and unrevokable.

[ A thoughtful hum was barely heard as Haldir mulled over the King's reply. ] Perhaps you do have a point, your majesty.

The Taiho are closely tied to the emotions and feelings of those around them, so they must be wary at first.
