But back to the point, the way death works here reminds me much of the cycle of existence for Servants.

Heroic Spirits reside in the Throne of Heroes until they are summoned. Upon defeat in the Holy Grail War, they return to the Throne of Heroes, existing there until they are summoned anew. It is possible for a Heroic Spirit to be summoned to more than one Holy Grail War.

[They just weren't supposed to retain their memories of the previous War. The Throne saw to erasing them, 'resetting' them. Saber was unique, having pledged herself to the World while still drawing breath. She never went to the Throne of Heroes like the others.]
