[It takes a moment for Meiling to realize that the thing she was poking at was working. She has been pushing buttons at random to get the terminal to work. She hasn't event looked about to see if anything was wrong..other then not understanding people!]

[England frowns a little, and he'd sound apologetic if that was a thing that England did. He manages a polite enough approximation.] Unless Welsh is in your normal linguistic repertoire, your feeling about that is probably on the mark.

It's one of the languages of Great Britain. Specifically, the constituent country of Wales.

It's a lovely place -- we're across the Channel from mainland Europe. [He guesses she must be from Japan, or one of Japan's close neighbours if that's the language she usually speaks.]
