[ on the screen is a small, unassuming character. the only startling thing about him is the large, tired blue eyes peering in. there's the glint of a chain beneath his clothes when he stirs, and over his body is a worn green cloak.
when he speaks, it's slowly, carefully. he looks pale, a bit shaken still from the network but his voice is sure: ]
While I haven't been here long, I'd like to leave as much as anyone else.
[ quietly: ]
I do not believe our homes are truly destroyed.
[ frodo's eyes lower, before he speaks again: ]
Not only that but I should like to know how many come from the world of Arda. Or 'Middle-earth'. To me, it is my home.
And..if any of you have seen a hobbit about my size, with lighter hair, a bit stout, with a frying pan? His name is Samwise Gamgee. Or perhaps a strange creature, who calls himself 'Smeagol' or 'Gollum'. He tends to like the shadows. I am..responsible for him.
[ it's sad how he's used to this. first the ship, now this strange place. it seems his road is far longer than he could have imagined, and frodo quietly despairs a little in his heart, though it stubbornly clings to hope. ]
If not, I would ask if any come from a ship called the 'Tranquility'. I had been dwelling there for a time, and would wish to know of it's fate.
[ he seems to hesitate for a minute, but the question is necessary ]
Should you be from Middle-earth..I would ask if the Fellowship is a familiar word to any of you.

Think what you like but I am not so foolish as to perform one briefly satisfying deed if it means a quick and doubtlessly painful death. To need assistance is no weakness but admission that you are not powerful enough to do something on your own.
The safety of my friends will always come first.
[Voice]
[ He would have stopped here and now, but... One doesn't simply threadjack the King of Evil. ]
The safety of your friend is out of your reach. You can not save them nor help them. Here in this tower, you are but a spectator and as long as you lack Power you are doomed to helplessly witness their demise.
[Voice] - private
[He's just glaring on the other end here, despite still having it set to voice.]
No one will lay a hand on Frodo, or any of my friends, so long as I am there to protect them.
[Lol, not mentioning the twin. Just so you can be surprised and pissed if you ever try. Trololol.]
[Voice] - private
You are powerless to protect your friends and even when you try you harm them. This friend of yours, Frodo? All I ever did was inform him of the truth, prepared him for reality. All you do is cradle him with illusions. And you call yourself a friend?
[ BAH. He'll find out someday. ]
[Voice] - private
The images of our worlds ruins or those that claimed to have walked among them? These people have created the illusion of stars on a single floor, as though we walked we no land beneath our feet. They could easily create such an illusion to make us believe that our homes and families are dead.
I give him hope as a friend should to one who needs it.
[Voice] - private
How about you go and tell your reason to believe our worlds are not gone to the White Wizard? I believe he is a friend of yours, isn't he? And you are close of the Princess. Yet you never discuss their words. Your so-called protection, will you offer it to the boy if either of these two are to reveal him their thoughts?
For that matter, didn't the wizard even insinuates the monsters in this tower are our dead companions? Do not you support him and trust his words, elf? Or are you simply a liar who thinks of him as much of a fool as I do? How an excellent companion you are elf. Do you think of the Princess as a fool as well for her constant wish to restore worlds that you believe alive?
[ Good thing that this conversation is locked, really. ]
[Voice] - private
[You're kind of making him believe, even harder, that the worlds are still out there.]
I have great respect for Mithrandir and the Princess but that does not mean that I will agree with their opinions. They are welcome to believe the worlds are gone, t'is the beauty of being capable of forming ones own opinions, but I'll not stand idly by while another tries to tear them down so callously, without a single consideration for the feelings of the one they speak with.
[Where is Zelda with those Light Arrows? He wants to stick one IN YOUR FACE.]
I trust that Gandalf believes his theory though I do not wish to consider it, no. He is the wisest of the wizards, and to ignore his words is foolishness by the very definition. I will stand by Lady Zelda and Gandalf, regardless of whether the goal is to restore our worlds, should they truly be gone, or to find our way home.
You would do well to cease your attempts at twisting my words and beliefs so that I might seem against those I hold close to me.
[There's a definitely chill to Legolas' words now, a threat beneath the surface.]
[Voice] - private
[ He chuckles lightly. ]
Then you will stand by people whom you do not trust the words. I respect you desire to protect their honor. However, when I say those words to the boy, you jump as a trained dog. However if they were to do it, you would let them.
Can't you see the extent of your own foolishness, elf?
[ Threat away Legolas, at this point he's just trolling because. Those reactions are golden. ]
[Voice] - private
[He wants to hurt you. So much.]
I do trust them but belief and trusting something are entirely different, or is it you who lacks the ability to distinguish one from another?
As for Frodo, I made a vow to protect him over a century ago. Though the war has ended for me, it has not for him. And so I will stand by him.
[Voice] - private
I distinguish trust from belief, albeit both are equally foolish notions in my eyes.
And I will repeat, you are not protecting him, you are fooling him. Yet this conversation I believe is reaching an end, out of argument you run in circle I'm afraid and I have better to do with my time than argue with you.
