Well, everything's back to normal, or what passes for it around here. Isn't that right? So I've got a question.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't usually care much what others think. The only one worth listening to now is myself. But some of you guys have been here a lot longer than me, so I thought I'd ask.

What do you make of the claims about the destruction of the worlds?

That's quite a subject, I know. Feel free to take your time in answering.

I know someone here who wouldn't exist if his universe was gone. Neither would I, for that matter, since I need my universe's version of him.

What does that mean, anyway? None of us would exist if our universes were gone, right?

It's more than just a matter of whether or not we should have died with our universes. We're tied to the collective unconscious of our world, if that was completely gone, we wouldn't exist.

Heh, that's easy enough to get around. If what they're saying is true, then you and your friend are copies of your true selves.

But that's only if it's true. I still don't see a lot of reason to believe that it is.

But if they're telling the truth about having rescued us, I don't see any reason why they would make a copy. I find it a lot easier to believe that they're lying.
