[Well lately has been an utter roller coaster of feelings. To say the least. It'd taken a few days musing (some of those days being distracted by a certain book of notes she'd recieved) to realize that maybe she needed a little help with this.]

So... can anybody tell me about weddings and getting married? Just... different things about it. A friend explained some of it to me but... [A lot of it seemed way over her head.] It was really confusing.

[Maybe hearing a few different thoughts about it would help.]

[Okay, hmm. Give him a moment to find a way to best explain this. One that preferable doesn't go into the religious aspects because well... keep it short and simple, right?]

You could say, a marriage is like a contract. Two people decide and agree to spend the rest of their together, to help and love each other no matter what happens.

There are several aspects to it though. Some people marry for security and things like that. Most ideally they marry for love.

Weddings... are kind of complicated, I guess. They usually involve lots of people... tough, I guess all you really need is some kind of priest or official to make it legal.

Is somebody else getting married then?

Well... that does make sense. What else is there to it though?

Um... Two people I know... said they're going to. So I wanted to learn more about it.

She means that usually getting children is a part of being married.

[Because she loves her friends a lot but she's pretty sure that they've never made babies or anything like that...]

Congrats to them!

Marriages are a bond that comes from and surpasses dating relationships. Usually they've been dating for a while and are sure they want to spend the rest of their lives together, so they have a wedding which is the act of getting married and the celebration that follows.

The kind of wedding depends on their customs, though.

[Well, her reluctance to tell him any details doesn't exactly serve to make him less curious about this.]
