[Well lately has been an utter roller coaster of feelings. To say the least. It'd taken a few days musing (some of those days being distracted by a certain book of notes she'd recieved) to realize that maybe she needed a little help with this.]
So... can anybody tell me about weddings and getting married? Just... different things about it. A friend explained some of it to me but... [A lot of it seemed way over her head.] It was really confusing.
[Maybe hearing a few different thoughts about it would help.]

You could say, a marriage is like a contract. Two people decide and agree to spend the rest of their together, to help and love each other no matter what happens.
There are several aspects to it though. Some people marry for security and things like that. Most ideally they marry for love.
Weddings... are kind of complicated, I guess. They usually involve lots of people... tough, I guess all you really need is some kind of priest or official to make it legal.
[That the kind of thing you were looking for?]

Um... Two people I know... said they're going to. So I wanted to learn more about it.

Back home they didn't really care about love and stuff like that. At least the people I was with didn't.
[They didn't think they could love. Xion isn't entirely convinced, but then again she's a replica, not a Nobody]

Marriage is a promise between two people. A promise to live together and love one another for the rest of their lives or longer. They exchange vows in a ceremony--a wedding--and become as one. They are meant to be faithful to one another.
Text
[She thinks of how uncertain things are in the Tower... and even back home. Axel had told them they might not always be together, (though as long as they didn't forget)...
Still, to make a promise like that would be pretty big]

Sort of. There are so many different ones.

text; you can always count on kidou to be a walking wikipedia
On the subject of how marriages work, as I said earlier, it involves a ceremony. In most traditional weddings, in involves a man and a woman. They're called the Bride and the Groom. The woman is the Bride, the man is the Groom. The two getting married would walk down an aisle, usually at different times, and stand before their marriage officiant, who is the person that runs the ceremony and validates the wedding. The two getting married would each have a list of vows, that can vary from person to person, and then they are given rings to wear on their ring finger, the third finger on your left hand. The rings show that they are married, and they usually don't remove the rings unless they get a divorce.
The ceremony also involves other people such as the Maid of Honor and the Best Man. The Maid of Honor and the Best Man are usually people of great importance to the two spouses. They stand by them during the wedding, and in some cases, the Best Man would hold the rings until the end of the wedding. There are bridesmaids and groomsmen as well, who also stand at the alter with the couple. Sometimes, there is a little girl who is called the Flower Girl, and she usually has a basket of flowers that she sprinkles on the aisle in front of the bride when its her turn to walk down the aisle.
The point of a marriage is two bind two together, usually for the rest of their lives. There are things that are beneficial to being married, too. Such as health insurance benefits and the like... but seeing how we're stuck in this Tower, insurance isn't really much of an issue anymore.
If I wasn't clear on anything, please let me know and I'll try to explain it better.

Is somebody actually getting married here?
[He knows the answer's yes, but... dang. Marriage and the tower seem like oxymorons.]
