[It had taken awhile, but Tohko had finally managed to get everything made and had fond out just how to get the video settings to work. She'll be standing there, smiling, with a table behind her and a pile of presents on it..as well as a basket of fruit. A small mailbox sat on the corner of the table, separate from everything else.]

[Tohko then nodded again as she watched him pour the wine.]

[Tohko gave a small smile. She was nervous about this match..but she was more confident with othello than she was with chess.]

It should be an interesting match.

The only group with the technology necessary to even attempt to recreate the Compass is Vector. And without my permission, that will not happen.

..Maybe someone could steal the technology and information you hold to make one..but you would probably manage to stop them before they did anything or got anywhere.

It would be, for lack of a better term, suicidal.

[Tohko sighed at that. It's not because she's been shot down..it's the fact that she's starting to lose hope for Wilhelm's situation and finding an alternative. She hasn't given up yet though..]

Alright then. Before I go, I came up with a new idea. It's foolish, and it may not work..but I need to know something before I fling it out. Do you always have the Compass of other at the beginning of the universe, or do you need to obtain it somewhere?

I find it nearly right away.

..How soon is 'nearly' for you? A hundred years? A thousand? A long time for me isn't a long time for you, so I have to know these things if I'm certain my idea even has a shot.

Does that matter?

I wouldn't ask if I didn't think it mattered.

[Tohko sighed and scratched her head.]

If, for instance, you didn't acquire your Compass until..let's say a thousand years after the universe was created-or recreated-then that would be a thousand years that you couldn't manipulate-at least, not well. If you could tell me how you might have better handled that point of time, then I could hold onto that information until I find out from the Administrators how they're able to pull people from various universes.

I'm thinking that, if I go back to my universe with that knowledge, I might be able to find a way into your universe and give you that information before you have the Compass.

..Does that make any sense?

[ Wilhelm looks towards the bookcases. ]

These books contain information from our own world. If there is any mention of the Compass, or anything similar, in your world, it will be in one of these books.

However, I highly doubt there's anything written down about the Compass or things like it in your universe either. But, you're probably right. That just means that I know we're from different universes and that I can skip that step and start figuring out how the Administrators do bring people from other universes here.

Perhaps you will find more success on that.

I suppose this means that you're not going to tell me exactly when you do acquire the Compass?

[Tohko looked puzzled for a moment..and then sighed, remembering. She really had to start taking notes on this universe. She was going to keep making stupid mistakes if she didn't.]
