... I'm not really sure what to say, except that it'll ease in time. Though it'll probably never go away.

[There's a pause, before she sends another message.] Wait, where are you? There's something I... could try to do. If that's okay with you.

The second dormitory floor.

Right, I'll be there in a couple of minutes.

[And she'll soon arrive on said floor, looking rather anxious.]

... Um, Aleph?

Hi, April.

[He's hanging out by one of the terminals.]

What were you going to try?

[technologic]

Uh, w-well...

[She frets for a few moments, looking almost as if she's about to chicken out. And then she forces back her nerves and walks over to him so that she can wrap her arms around him in a hug.]

... I-I've heard that this can help people feel better when they're sad or something, s-so...

[He freezes up for a moment. Then, slowly, starts to hug her back.]

Th...thank you.

It's nothing, we're friends after all... I just want to try to help.

I'm lucky to know you.

[technologic]

[She tenses slightly and shakes her head.] I-I'm not sure if knowing me could be considered 'lucky'.

[She shifts to pout up at him.] ... I-if it is, then it's the same back to you.

...I can live with that.

... So, ah, we're both lucky to know each other, then?

It looks like it.

... Well, um, I-I guess I could deal with that... [And then she notices she's still hugging him and sheepishly pulls away.]

... A-ah, sorry.

You don't have to apologize. It was nice.

O-oh, really? [She blinks up at him (and hugging him has made her realize just how small she is compared to him, though she's small compared to a lot of people.)] T-that's, um t-that's good... So my plan worked?

A complete success.

[He breaks out into a wide sile. It's a little weak at the edges, but he's clearly much better.]

[technologic]

[Another blink, and her expression turns rather hopeful.] I-it was?

[And then she grins brightly, looking pretty happy.] Yay, I-I'm glad to hear that!

[alephbet]

Thank you, April. [He lightly hugs her shoulders for a moment before letting go.]

[technologic]

[She giggles quietly, still grinning happily.]

You don't have to thank me. If I managed to help, that's more than enough for me.

I'm still glad. What should I do instead of thank you?
