What is strength to you, or what it is to be strong?

Alternatively, who is it that has right to rulership, or to command? Do you agree with the sentiment that those who are strong are superior and thus have greater rights than those who are weak?

And if that is the case: may the weak become strong?

Strength to me is being able to defend oneself and others. Not being ashamed to ask for help when one needs it, acknowledging that one needs it.

As for leading, it depends entirely on situations or how one was raised, how one place functions in comparison to another. My father has the right to rule Eryn Lasgalen, he's protect our people and borders for an entire Age and brought back as many of our people as he could after King Oropher's death.

[A pause and he nods to himself.]

Anyone can become strong.

That is true enough but the line for that is fine unless one relies on it in near of every situation.

Those who chose my grandfather as their king, when Thranduil and Oropher first came to Eryn Galen. It was his inheritance, in a way, and none have found any fault with how the Elvenking rules.

[Yeah, he's aware that he's using a different name for the forest.]

I would not argue that, it is true. I know none that would be undeserving of it however.

[That might be a teeny tiny lie. He certainly wouldn't give help to Ganon.]

I cannot and I would never claim such an ability. He is fair though and if there were a problem, it would be brought to him. I do not doubt my king or his people.

I would agree, yes.

I've never been reason to doubt them. And I have seen other rules. Lord Elrond of Imladris, Lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborn or Lothlorien, King Elessar of Gondor and Arnor.
