1st Investigation [ Video ]

[ Nothing will be able to distress Kyouko, and for her world being destroyed? She was reluctant to believe it, however was it much better, from living within a death school?! One thing that bothered her was the collar wrapped around her neck, and what purpose it served.

It wasn't soon before long that she had found any means of communication, to find out where this place was, and what she could do about it. As the video turned on, stoic expression would be met, alongside a pale-skinned detective.

Her expression did not change, only trying her own patience and ready to speak. ]

I have questions to ask to those who happen to be watching.

[ Now she waits. ]

Hungry..?

[ She thinks it is some sort of joke, while she hadn't thought about it before, even the mention of food started to make her feel a little bit peckish.

How does that even happen?! ]

Well, yes-- possibly, it has been quite a while since I last ate.. but--!

[There's no joke here, just someone who thinks really simply. He smiles and nods, because it sounds like he's right.]

Mm. Hungry. There's a cafeteria, you take the elevator. You'll feel happier when you've had something to eat. You have to eat oatmeal first, but the food is okay.

[He has no idea what her point is, except he is so sure this is what she was going to ask about.]

[ Of course she deems it as strange, but then she remembers she knows Hagakure, so all is well. ]

Is it numbered so I know which floor I am to take? Happier? But I am not angry at anything here, nor am I upset. [ She's just a big frazzled, but okay all the same. ]

And why is it you have to eat the oatmeal first?

[ Then she realises what she is saying, and shakes her head. ]

What I mean is.. that was not the point in a question I wanted to ask.

Mm, it's numbered. You want to go to the first floor. You'll look and feel much happier when you're full, yep.

[He thinks this is good advice.]

Someone told me to. I tried to eat something else, but...I couldn't. So it's better to just eat it first.

[ Well food did make Asahina happy, so it was possible--! ]

You couldn't? [ How troubling! Was it possible? ] It does sound strange. Has it only happened that one time?

[ She will make a mental note of that. ]

Yes, do you know the purpose of the colour on the collars? Have.. I missed something?

Mm, just once. I kept trying to eat other things, but I threw it back up every time. Once I ate the oatmeal, everything was better. You probably don't want to do that.

[Cute girls like Kirigiri shouldn't throw up all over the cafeteria. Dense people like Jungo can keep it up for hours.]

I match one of my roommates. It might be that.

[Nope. Not even close.]

[ Throwing it back up? That is something that would make any normal person sick, but Kyouko would take that advice and only eat the oatmeal. It seemed normal enough. ]

I will do so, even if I don't enjoy it.

[ Aw that was sweet! ]

You match one of your roommates .. [ Have a blank Kirigiri expression. ] Does it signal anything? Places we cannot go .. Do you understand?

The oatmeal's not bad. My chawanmushi is tastier, though.

[This is a very important thing to note, because he's decided that Kyouko is one of his new friends, yep.]

Mm, not that I know of. It could be anything. Want me to ask them?

Chawanmushi? You cook?

[ It had been a long while since Kyouko had a nice meal, not counting those with her death school. She had been wary of eating, still even now she would.

Is it that easy to ask? Surely, you would not receive any simple answer. If it is possible, yes.

Mm, I'm a chef. My boss says I'm only good with chawanmushi, though.

[Alas, he would make it for everyone in a heartbeat if he could. Without another word (and with the video still running), he leaves the screen and runs down the hallway.

He sure is a social one.

And he'll be back any minute, really...or more like ten. He makes it back to the terminal and, thankfully, no one's come by to use it. If Kirigiri is gone, he'll just wait until she comes back on the screen.]

Mm, my roommate says it's what keeps us alive.

Then you cannot cook your own-- [ She starts, then noticing he had left the screen before she had finished speaking. It was odd to see someone move so quickly, and to where?

Kirigiri stands, wandering about the library to see which books were at hand before hearing his voice once more, ten or so minutes after he had left.

Does your roommate know this for certain?

Mm. He's sure. There might be a bomb in them, but what's in the collars keeps us safe from being destroyed like our worlds were.

[...Well, he doesn't buy that himself. He doesn't really think his world's been destroyed.]

Hmm...he said the colors are important, too. If it wasn't the right color, we wouldn't be ourselves.

[ And Kirigiri doesn't exactly buy it either! A bomb inside a collar? She quickly shakes her head, tapping one gloved finger gently on her forearm. ]

And you believe his every word?

[ She gives off a lofty sigh, feeling a migraine pinch at the bridge of her nose. ]

I don't suppose you would understand what he had meant by that. Of course it would be the right colour, don't you agree?

[He nods at that.]

He says it's common knowledge. You can ask anyone.

[But there's something else, too...what was it?]

Mm, it's not like that. If the colors are wrong, we aren't ourselves anymore. He said it happened.

.. I will take your word for it.

[ This tower is 2spooky. ]

We are not ourselves anymore .. Thankfully, we do have the right colours. [ At least she hopes so. ]

It's the best I could do.

[Luckily, Jungo is immune to 2spooky. The gravity of his situation will probably hit him in a few months or so.]

That's right. The colors changed, and people did weird things. I wasn't here for that, though.

It is enough.

[ As is Kirigiri, bless them both. But monsters?? It is enough to excite her, just a little. ]

Did your roommate tell you the precautions?

I'm glad I could help.

[Jungo's too used to monsters to even notice them much. This is what happens when the Tower gains a world-class idiot.]

The precautions? What do you mean?

[ Lucky enough he'd get along with a bunch of idiots that she knows. ]

I mean it, as I have said. [ She is going to have to explain this, right. ] One would need to take the precautions necessary, especially in a situation as this.

[Hmm...precautions? Jungo doesn't know a lot of those because he kind of does his own thing, but...]

If you have monster's blood on you, you should wash it off right away.

[ Is he.. serious? Is this Hagakure in disguise!! We just don't know. ]

And why would you have monster's blood on you?

One of the monsters pulled me into a pool of blood on my first night. Someone told me to wash it off because it attracts other monsters.

[ On the first night? That seemed a little surreal, too surreal for her liking. ]

How is it that you got away? [ This may very well be handy for her later, she'll make a note of this. ]

After it pulled me into the blood, I woke up somewhere else.

[Teleported to a creepy room, even.] ...You should be really careful.

And it was not your own blood? [ No dead bodies for you to touch yet, girl. ] Where is it you ended up?
