1st Investigation [ Video ]

[ Nothing will be able to distress Kyouko, and for her world being destroyed? She was reluctant to believe it, however was it much better, from living within a death school?! One thing that bothered her was the collar wrapped around her neck, and what purpose it served.

It wasn't soon before long that she had found any means of communication, to find out where this place was, and what she could do about it. As the video turned on, stoic expression would be met, alongside a pale-skinned detective.

Her expression did not change, only trying her own patience and ready to speak. ]

I have questions to ask to those who happen to be watching.

[ Now she waits. ]

[ All the detective can do is shake her head. If she had been here before she would admit it, and really Kyouko simply couldn't remember ever being here before in her life.

Was this some sort of trick? ]

I do not remember being here, Fujisaki-kun. I have been within the walls of Hope's Peak Academy all this time.

[ Again her head shakes. ]

Is it one of the powers here.. perhaps?

... I guess maybe it is... Maizono-san was here before too, then she disappeared and came back and couldn't remember anything either...

Has it only been Maizono-san and myself to have disappeared and come back without recalling what had happened?

I'm not sure... I guess it might have happened to other people too but the two of you are the only cases I know of personally..

[ Curious indeed, she wonders since remembering all this time she had in fact been inside Hope Peak Academy walls.

Well, I... don't really want to go back. It can be rather scary at times here but everyone, our classmates from back home and the people I've met here are really nice to me and here for me so I'm not really scared. [Most of the time anyway.] Plus they're helping me get stronger both physically and mentally. I've learnt to accept myself bit by bit the way I am and that being small and needing help isn't necessarily a weakness. I've learnt to embrace my strengths. [He puts his hands over his heart and smiles.] I've learnt that I have a certain strength inside me.

And when there aren't experiments, everyone gets along well. We don't have to kill each other... If I went back... it would be back to Hope's Peak, wouldn't it?

Also, though it hasn't happened to me yet or at least I don't remember it, I will die, won't I, Kirigiri-san, if I go back? I don't want to die yet. There is still so much I want to do. [Then there was the matter of Mondo being his boyfriend now...]

So, perhaps it is selfish but I... I would rather stay here. But I can help you find a way out if that's what you wish for.

[ She repeats, several times now but for the most part in her own mind. Kyouko can only listen, nod at the right times during Chihiro's words and know it was right for them to be here-- away from the Mastermind and from Hope's Peak Academy. Kyouko does feel happy for him, it was only a matter of time before Chihiro would come to terms with his life, she knew that but it does seem as though he is genially better now. ]

It is what you had wanted from the start, correct .. Fujisaki-kun? [ But Kyouko knows as long as you see yourself as strong, you will be that way. It isn't right for her to say at this point in time though. ]

.. Yes, if you were to go back it would be only to Hope's Peak, as it is the only possible place for us to return too. [ Besides she needs to still find out her family matters, what was inside that pretty present box. ] We have all had choices from the start, not to murder one another-- [ What could she say? It did take a weakness to murder, she'd seen it and in Maizono, Leon, Mondo and Celes.. but Chihiro's words were strong.

They were true words! If he was to go back, he would die and couldn't she help prevent that now? Knowing what she knew, this was why she wished for Naegi to be here .. to know what to say in this moment.

She's silent for a few moments, choosing her words carefully; as always. ]

You do not have to return, Fujisaki-kun. It is your choice now, and you have been granted a second chance at life, so you are able to do whatever you would like with it.

[ If only her father was granted it. ]

It is not selfish, we all make selfish mistakes .. [ Kyouko is the Queen at this. ] But if you are willing, it would be best to gather out information-- as we did at Hope's Peak.

Mn. I've always dreamt of becoming stronger and in this place... I have.

Yes, we do have the choice not too... but it seems that I've been taken only moments before I am to die... Would anyone be able to stop that? Would we even remember the things we know here if we were to go back?

[ It's rare for Kyouko, but for a few moments a short smile appears on her normal stoic features. She is thankful, hearing that he was now so calm and simple-minded towards his main goal. ]

..I could not say, Fujisaki-kun. [ She wishes that no students had to die, but it wasn't something she could stop. ] It might not be impossible, I suppose we may very well remember the things we had learned here-- just as we are able to remember our pasts.

[ She nods, thankful to have Chihiro here. ] It is my pleasure, Fujisaki-kun. ..Alter Ego? He has arrived with you?

[Chihiro is silent for a moment as he wonders about all that...]

I-I'm sorry bit I... I don't think I want to take that risk... Is it alright to think this way...?

Alter Ego didn't arrive with me but it was given back to me after one of the experiments here.

If you never take risks, you will end up no where, Fujisaki-kun. [ Don't worry! She'll make sure none of you have to put up with the same things from Hope's Peak, you can count on her! ] You will continue to do the same thing, day after day.

And how long as it been since Alter Ego was returned to you? There was some unfortunate events involving him.. [ Such as.. Monobear crushing the laptop. ] I did not think he would have survived such a thing.

I... I am more comfortable here... and anyway, Oowada-kun is here... And he's dead too in our world, isn't he?

... The mastermind had known we were using Alter Ego, and that he was helping us find out the mysteries behind Hope's Peak Academy. [ This makes her mad as well. ] He crushed Alter Ego in an execution, to put it bluntly. Somehow he survived it, as his data had already been planted into the lines.

I have to thank you, Fujisaki-kun. [ Because that saved Naegi's life. ]

Mn. I... I've been told that... I-I'm not... but... but he didn't mean it and he's already apologized and is really nice to me and looks out for me here... so... [he can't help blushing a bit. oh, they've done more than patch things up, Kirigiri!]

[and he looks over at her in shock] Alter Ego, was...! Ah, I-I see... That is fortunate then... but how did his data....? I don't recall doing anything like that...

If you were to go back, you would no longer be alive as would the remainder of our fallen classmates.
