Um, maybe, but, I'm glad to see you again. So, uh... I guess you didn't notice you were gone?

[ She's starting to accept that she has been gone because so many people are saying the same thing, but it still feels strange. ]

Ahaha, well, maybe you were a little lucky? The past few months haven't exactly been the nicest...

Um, well I don't know if you saw all of what happened in October, though I remember you were there for the foot shortage part. But we were all put in costumes and had to collect candy or we'd die... and if you did you'd come back as some kind of monster.

And last month they only gave us nutrition bars and water, and the heating cut out, and a lot of people got sick... and sometimes it wasn't just a normal sickness and people had really strange and terrible afflictions.

[ Amalia covers her mouth. ]

Oh... oh that's terrible!

Yeah, it was pretty harsh... I'm glad that's over with now, and the kitchens are back to normal.

That's a relief, but I still feel awful... what if I could have helped?

[She can't deny she definitely had wished Amalia had been around in December, but she shakes her head]

It's not your fault, and you could have ended up sick as well. I'm happier you didn't have to suffer through that.
