Can someone please tell me what's going on? I went to 2-19 and I was told that it's not my room. I don't understand, did we get new assignments this week?

[ Amalia gets to her feet when April arrives, giving the other girl a slightly forced smile. ]

[April notices the smile is slightly forced, and her expression becomes faintly concerned.]

It's nothing... Though are you all right, Amalia?

[ she nods slowly ]

I'm just having... such a time, trying to adjust. This is harder to accept than even being in the Tower... that's silly, isn't it?

... It's not silly. Feeling like it's only been a few days for you, but being told it's been months by others would be hard to adjust to.

Do you know if anything like this has ever happened before?

[April tilts her head as she thinks, before shaking it.] ... I don't know. You're the only person I know who has left and came back... But I guess this is something that can be asked on the network, to see if this has happened to anyone else.

Yes, that's a good idea. Although I suppose I'll need to find my new room first, and let everyone know I'm all right.

I can help you look for your new room, since it'll be quicker with two of us.

I couldn't get the taste of my mouth for a week the first time. As if the Tower wasn't nasty enough, why do they have to throw that at the new arrivals?

Yes, we should. I wonder if we should start at the top or the bottom of the living areas...

Guess they had to make it just that bit more horrible.

Hmm... The bottom and just work our way up? Or we could split up and one of us starts from the bottom and the other can start from the top?

Ah, okay... And something good... Um... [Cue some silence as she thinks over this.] Well, there's been a few parties since then, and those are always good.

[ quickly: ] Parties are good! What were they for? Did you go to them? Were people wearing beautiful clothes?

O[And just as quickly:] Birthdays, mostly. Only one or two. Not really, but getting beautiful clothes is kinda hard here.
