THREE FLOWERS ✿ VIDEO (BACKDATED TO JAN 10)

[ Someone who hasn't been around in a few months is back! On the consoles is a very confused princess whose looking more distressed by something other than being here. Amalia has no idea she's been gone as long as she has been. ]

Can someone please tell me what's going on? I went to 2-19 and I was told that it's not my room. I don't understand, did we get new assignments this week?

[ The princess gave a knowing smile behind him where he couldn't see it because of the hug, but had a straight face on when she pulled back. ]

Yes, I suppose that's right. Next time I'll have to make a bigger statement than just being here one moment and gone the next.

[Veigar kept his composure, for the most part. A barely there, covered by the shadows blush might or might not be noticeable.]

Shouldn't be hard for someone like you. Just look at what you did after the destruction of most floors? It's not something most would have gone out of their ways to do, let alone have it stand as a statements of defiance against the more... depression areas in this wretched Tower.

Plus I have you to teach me, right?

[ She sits down next to some of his things. ]

You and Chompimus... come here a lot?

Of course! What better teacher, no one.

[He said proudly... Thought at her question he kind of tripped a bit in stance looking around to find something to place his attention on.]

Hm, well, yes. After you left someone had to take care of things! And I couldn't count on anyone else to do so...

[Wait, no that didn't sound right from him! Umm... err...]

It was Chompimus' idea.

[Clearly! Saved hahahaha! ~~Not really...~~]

It does seem like Chompimus' style.

[ she's trying to to laugh ]

Hm, yes indeed. He's uh, quite loving of his fellow plant-things...

[That's his story and he's sticking to it!]

[ She kneels to place her hands in the tended soil, closing her eyes and letting her power flow through the ground. All around them, the plants perked up and gained life, little flower heads turning this way and that. ]

Hello friends. Have you missed me?

[Veigar didn't know much about her kind of magic. That was better left to the likes of Zyra or the other planty Champions. For now, he'd take a seat on the ground while she did her thing.

He looked curious at the act however, the plants seem to be reinvigorated by her touch and seem to be more alive... But wait... there's something amiss... Can plants talk? Wouldn't they give him away if she asked?! Blasted!

Wait no, plants don't talk, not normal ones anyways... There's nothing to worry about!]

[ After a moment, she looked back up at Veigar. ]

They say thank you for taking such good care of them.

[Damn you plants! Outing him like that...]

Err... well... okay I suppose.

[Well now this turned awkward for the Yordle.]

Will you catch me up on everything that's happened, Veigar?

[Veigar looked at her thoughtfully, even in this state he couldn't quite come to terms as to what about her made him feel different. Alas, this wasn't the time to be pondering this mystery! He turned away and cleared his throat.]

Ahem, sure. I don't see why not...

The tower continues being the wretched place it always is... I'm not sure if you avoided the nightmare that involved the costumes but... A lot of people died during that little experiment.

People hunting others like animals for their candy in order to survive.. Pah! Even I have my reasons to destroy, this was just forced survival, more playing into the hands of those vicious owners.

[He shrugged, he didn't care much for their little parties and science projects. He didn't know and hadn't seen Amalia then... he had been certain she was safe.]

After that there was a big food shortage but the denizens banded together and managed to avoid casualties I think. I didn't really leave my lab. Had no reasons to really... I had Chompimus and my experiments and I was still trying to locate yo-- an escape... Ahem.

[He frowns for a moment, avoiding eye contact.]

After that came the snow and the freezing environment all through the tower... Lots got sick, some started developing crazed hallucinations, others just went mad or showed symptoms of worse diseases... Not I of course! Someone as great as the all POWERFUL Veigar would never get sick.

[Except he totally did and was miserable and whiny and spent a lot of time with the plants okay. But he'll never admit to it! Never!]

After all of that little storm went pass, things sort of went to normal... As normal as things can really be here. And shortly after that, you showed up again.

[There might have been a small smile under all those shadows and hat.]

... have you ever stopped to wonder why the Tower is so awful, Veigar?

[Veigar paused for a moment. There was a sudden sense of protectiveness that he wished to act upon when she said it in such a manner. Was it the same sense of comradery that one felt in a team during a match in the fields of justice?

No... this felt... different.]

Well, I've come to two viable conclusions during my long stay here...

There either is no rhyme or reason behind the madness or... they're searching for something in specific through all of these tests... As to what it is well... that still alludes me.

If it's the second one, I don't know why they can't just ask for help.

If it's the first... I don't know at all.

[Veigar sighed and scooted over closer to Amalia. It took him a few moments and yet it seemed like a lifetime before he placed his gauntleted hand over hers.]

Not everyone is going to take the route that makes more sense and not everyone is looking out for everyone's best interests... It's what I was trying to tell you that time we argued about making friends in this tower... before you got taken away that is.

They don't need a reason to be vile and destructive. [He sure as hell didn't...] Sometimes that's just how they prefer things and how they'll do things regardless of what anyone tries to do.

I know... it's not like I haven't met people who only want to help themselves.

[ Amalia totally didn't consider Veigar part of that group, his pride be damned. She does smile when he puts his hand atop hers. ]

I guess those of us who want to help will just have to be extra kind, to make up for them. And perhaps, Sadida willing, they'll come around eventually.

I suppose they shall...

There have always been certain tasks that require.... a group effort. [Even as much as he hated to admit that.]

I'm sure if you continue with your dedication you will complete whatever you set out to do.

[ Amalia smiled at the encouragement, laying down in the grass again, to play with Chompimus a little. ]

Veigar... while I was gone, do you know if anyone else from the World of Twelve was here?

[Veigar turned to look at her and Chompimus play. It was... weird, odd in a way that had been long lost to the Yordle. A time past long ago when the young Yordle first set off to adventure with a skip in his step and a much happier outlook on life... Never again.]

Not that I was aware of. We didn't get many fresh bloods and certainly no one that mentioned that world or anything similar.

Not many new people arrived?

[ She thinks about that for a moment. ]

I wonder if that had anything to do with what caused me to disappear for a while. The Tower sounds like it's been acting funny.

When is it not? Then again, to consider it funny one must have a rather dark sense of humor. [He replied with a small smirk of his own. True, some things were rather amusing, but for the most part, Veigar considered the Tower to be a big nuisance.]

And mayhaps, no one ever knows for sure in this place so I wouldn't put it past the powers that be in control.

[ Amalia nods firmly to herself. ]

One day I'm going to be in a position to make everyone's lives here better! Maybe even send people home properly.

I suppose you'll be needing someone to keep you safe considering you'll find yourself with many enemies...

Not everyone is looking to make others have it easy here, let alone allowing it to happen.

Why Veigar, are you volunteering?
