[Lancer is slowly getting better at this network thing, though he still doesn't know how to do anything fancy with it and doesn't really like it. He would much rather be talking to people face to face, but he knows in this case, that is just not a feasible option. Not if he wants to find what he's looking for in an acceptable amount of time.

The face that greats the network this afternoon is somewhat pale and uncertain, though very focused on his task.]

Forgive my intrusion, but I was wondering if I could ask for some assistance from the residents here. After last week's experiment, I would like to try and find a few things to gift to others. I arrived shortly before the experiment started and so, I'm afraid I don't really know where to start looking for these things.

Specifically what I'm looking for are things related to tea and serving it, but I'm open to other suggestions if you have them. I don't have a whole lot since I'm new, but I am a skilled fighter among other things and very willing to offer my services in trade for any assistance I receive.

The girl in question is very brave and selfless. She has been through a lot in her short years and yet somehow come out stronger for it. She enjoys teaching others and is very good at it because she is also very patient and kind.

[He pauses a moment to think about what else he knows about Mami.]

She is also the kind of girl that makes people worry about her because she doesn't want them to. She holds too much inside. She doesn't let others see her sadness and pain.

How is that? Do you need more?

Hmm, no, I think that's good. How about an earl grey with rose petals and white chocolate? Oh, you probably don't really know what that means, huh? They're all kind of sophisticated ingredients, it would have lots of flavour, but wouldn't be that sweet, so it's perfect for having with cakes~

[He nods. She is exactly right on that. None of it sounded familiar except for the rose petals and he has no idea what those have to do with tea.]

You're right. I'm afraid that none of that really sounds familiar to me, though from your description of the taste it would be right on. Can you really make something so complex with your magic?

For sure! Even an apprentice could do that, and you're talking to the great Witch of Certainty, so I'll certainly make a delicious tea!

[And within seconds a 250g jar of tea will appear at Lancer's terminal.]

[Diarmuid picks up the jar with an amazed look on his face.]

[His face suddenly pales as a horrible thought crosses his mind.]

We didn't meet during the experiment, did we? I'm afraid that while I remember most of last week, I do have several blank spots. If so, please let me apologize for anything I might have said to you. I was really not myself then.

Nope, nothing like that, don't worry, everyone knows that stuff is all their fault.

[Lancer shakes his head, expression saddening. No, not everyone knew that or if they knew they didn't care. The dark Saber didn't seem to anyway.]

Certainty? Did you not say earlier you were the Witch of Certainty? What does that mean?

[He pause, face suddenly paling.]

Are you a friend of the girl who calls herself the Endless Witch?

I sponsored that kid, but I wouldn't exactly say we're friends. It was a bad decision.

[She was the one to give Eva her status as a witch, but in the end it was a waste of effort, she didn't do what Lambda had planned.]

But, you know, kind of like fate and stuff. You can say for sure that if you work hard, you'll be rewarded for it, right? I can make that happen no problem. If I say something will happen, it's certain that it will. Get it?

[Lancer nods. That makes sense. This girl seems very kind and helpful, the complete opposite of the other who he had met.]

She and I ran into each other when I first arrived. It wasn't a...good meeting.

In any event, that all does make sense. I am very invested in making things up those I hurt during the experiment even if it wasn't technically my fault. I know a gift like this is only a very small step toward doing so, but it is a place to start.

That's not surprising, she's kind of a brat. Don't worry about it, kids should behave.
