how do they get names

or at least ones that don't suck

and if you weren't born with a name or a purpose and you found your own but you can't do it here

[Since Nesir was avoiding pretty much everything, mad as she was about what had happened this month she had taken to reading the network. Not responding, but reading learning what she could about the others here.

It was better than sulking doing nothing anyways. But she had worked herself into a mood, angry about the fact that she had even less control here than at home, that not even her mind was her own. But she had managed to get herself a few allies, and she wasn't a child anymore she knew what a massive tantrum would cost her.

Most of the network posts were useless, silly, frivolous. But this one... She froze when she saw it.

It took a while for an answer to come, first she had to relocate to find a computer that backed to a wall, so no one could come up behind her. Then she spent some time figuring out how to make her answer both anonymous and private (the latter she wasn't sure she had right but it wasn't as important as the first.) Longer still as she forced herself to write in non Gauigen grammar.]

I was just given mine a few years ago for a mission, it felt weird at first but now it feels like mine, because I made it mine. I figure it's just another word about you, it doesn't matter what it is really, it's just something that means you. But if you've got the freedom to chose you own take it. Be better than what some idiots would come up with.

Nesir understood the feelings though, she had never known whichever unfortunate inn keepers daughter shared her name and cover story, but she was sure that Elena would have it so if anyone made inquiries into a Nesir Aeser in Gauig there would be one, long gone.

To Nesir it didn't matter though, that Nesir was dead long ago and she had made the name her own.]

Then chose your own, find something you like and make people call you that. Just refuse to answer to any stupid names they try and call you.

Well lots of people are named after others. Heroes from stories and such. Or find a word you like, anything can be a name.

You know, most people aren't born with purposes I don't think. They are just born and have to make their own purposes. [Like Tohko's school, where they learned everything and picked what to do later]

So if you don't have one, you can just be like them and pick your own.
