[Okay, this has been bothering him for a really long time. Even back in his world, he didn't know the answer. So he just has to ask flat-out now, since he can't find a book in the library about it.]

Okay so.

Who the heck is Icarus?

[... Yep. That's it.]
So, "rescuees".
We've known what we really look like for the last few months. So I ask, have any of you even wondered what our so-called "administrators" look like without the glamour?

Well, now that the monthly distractions are over, I have one thing to show you. Say hello to your favorite scientist.

[Ira smirks, holding up a picture to the camera of a certain drawing that his friend drew from his sister's memories.]

Some of you may remember another person sharing this sketch, and it's true - even the admins aren't what they seem.

Now Jason, I ask you directly: How do you call yourself human?

[Can't even say that it's the way he claims to be human, either.]

[[ooc: The visible sketch is a WIP because Jason literally crashed photoshop four times when I tried to load it. Will update it later when it lets me finish.]]

[It is nighttime when a live video feed appears on the network. The blonde girl on the screen looks shaken and gloomy, standing in front of a terminal that is obviously in the dormitory hallways rather than in the library. Anyone from Auldrant who happens to check the network will recognize her as Natalia, though her general demeanor is less chipper than they may be used to.]

Is... is there anyone who is free at this moment? I...

[She closes her eyes.]

Someone died today. A girl younger than me, a fonist who used wind and lightning. We were lost in a maze and the sun went down, and the plants... they came alive. She used her powers to save me, but I was unable to save her. Is this sort of thing a commonplace occurrence here?

[She takes a shaky breath and does her best not to cry.]

...I never even asked her name.

[Natalia has not yet learned that those who die in the tower return the next day. She'll remain at the terminal looking lost and downtrodden, for those who would prefer to meet with her in person.]

[The video switches on.]

Right. Whatever. Anyway who wants to spar? I'm tired of these weak mobs, I need someone with more hit points than that.

[There's Legolas, sitting at a terminal and looking thoughtful. There's a small, leatherbound notebook in front of him and a fountain pen. He wasn't sure if they'd belonged to anyone when he'd gathered what he needed but he could return it all later. In neat script on the first page is a passage written in Sindarin. And below it, a translation of it.]

What is it you miss of home, most of all? What is it, that if ever we return, you will seek out first?

I want to write it all here in this book. I want to make sure that no one forgets what most they miss here. No matter what it is that we endure, we'll need only look into it to remind ourselves of happier times. Times that, with hope, are not forever lost to us.

[Oh look it's Bad Spelling Anon again.]

[Luke's curled up in front of the terminal, looking rather forlorn after the massive info dump that was just dropped on everyone, not to mention Dax's horrifying death. It takes him a moment for him to live his chin up from where it's wedged against his knees so he can speak clearly.]

So... I don't... really understand what's happened. But from what I've read and watched on the network... does this mean everyone that's died is... a replica?

[...he really doesn't know how to feel about that. On one hand, yay, even more people like him! On the other... that is so damn depressing.]

W-were we living when we were taken from our worlds, or was that our first 'death'? How is it even that they were able to bring any part of us here?

[He sulked back until his face was hiding behind his knees now.]

...I think all this gave us even more questions than answers...

[See: One Riku seated at a terminal, his head propped up by one hand while the fingers of his other hand tap against the edge of the keyboard.]

Just want to give everyone a quick heads-up. If you see somebody who looks like me, just a bit younger and with a black coat, he's my Replica.

Problem is, he thinks he is me, thanks to his memories. Can't say I know all the details, but what I do know is that he thinks I'm the copy and that I somehow managed to ruin his life.

[He sighs, leaning back in his seat.]

So, I guess what I want to know is, what should I even do about that? His memories must feel real if he believes in them so strongly. I can't just push him until he accepts the truth. That'd be too coldhearted for my liking.

But at the same time, I can't just keep him in the dark. If I do, he'll probably keep trying to take me out. He's... pretty stubborn, after all.

[It's taken Dark Pit a while to find the network, and even longer to give enough of a damn to put something up.]

[It's not exactly a priority in anachronistic Greco-Romanland okay.]

most people are born with names right

what about people who aren't

how do they get names

or at least ones that don't suck

and if you weren't born with a name or a purpose and you found your own but you can't do it here

what the hell are you supposed to do

[He'll find something... but it's been gnawing at him lately.]

Subtlety's not my strong suit.

What do you think of God? The gods, if you have more than one.
