1st call [video]

[So far, life in the Tower hasn’t been so bad for Jungo Torii. He has good company in Jungo the feline, and he’s rather fond of his roommates when he’s had the time to speak to them. He’s met some nice people close to his own age in the Tower, too. Sure, the monsters are a bit of a drag, but he’s kind of used to them. What he’s not used to is the limited menu. He should be able to make chawanmushi whenever he wants, and he can’t here. It’s a travesty.

With that in mind, he stands in front of one of the terminals for a moment. He’s seen other people talk with these things before, so...]

Hi? ...Hey. My name is Jungo Torii. Mm, it’s nice to meet you. Let's do our best together.

[It’s best to just get that out of the way, he thinks. He should probably smile, too, but instead he just looks angry.]

I’ve been here for a few weeks, but I don’t know what I’m supposed to feed my demons. They’re hungry, too, I think. I’ve never fed them before, though. Does anyone know what they eat?

[He looks back over his shoulder, unintentionally allowing the camera to see the space behind him where a samurai cat(?) is waving his flags around obnoxiously, almost like he’s pretending to dance. Jungo looks a moment longer at Neko Shogun, then turns his face back to the terminal.]

...And does anyone have kamaboko? Jungo usually eats chawanmushi, but I can’t make chawanmushi without kamaboko. All the food is heart-shaped now...it makes me sad. And Jungo’s going to be sad without his favorite food. If anyone knows where to find some, I’ll make you delicious food, too.

[He's actually talking about his cat there, but who can tell? He's silent for a long moment before he nods.]

Thanks. Let me know.

[video] Let's hear it for Libras!

I've never heard of either of those foods...

*A pause.*

Ah...that's a demon?

*The armor certainly looks...yeah, he can believe it. ...And he has no idea what to say to someone who seems so friendly and open to cooperation but allies with a demon. Maybe if he just ignored the demon - the idea of them is near inextricably tied up with "evil" for him, so it's a little hard to combine the ideas. Like with Aleph, chances are he'll only acknowledge the demons if they don't look particularly demonic or if he has no other choice. It's all in the interest of not starting conflicts.*

*Enoch is the same, though with generally being nice and listening to problems instead of cooking.*

I look forward to it. *A pause as he watches the hints of the demon's flags behind him.*

Neko Shogun... *He repeats the odd name.* I've never heard of a demon like him. But then...there are likely many demons we know nothing about.

Your phone can recognize demons?

*It's funny, he's never once encountered a normal cell phone, despite Lucifel's assurance they're common in the future.*

That...isn't something ordinary phones can do, is it?

((ooc: That's okay! I'm pretty slow myself right now.))

I don't have one. They're...far ahead of my time.

*But he's wearing jeans...oh well, not like Jungo would be able to see that given he has the keyboard pulled out over his lap.*

Compared to you, yes, by many years.

*Enoch blinks at the camera.*

...How did I do what?

I was born then. The rifts that took me to Meridian worked independently of time.

*...He is starting to see that.*

Indeed. I'm of the sixth generation from Adam, of the seventh generation of man.
warriorscribe: (Calm)

[video] That's okay, SMT doesn't really do specific years anyway.

[personal profile] warriorscribe 2013-02-19 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
*Unfortunately, Enoch takes that as Jungo being of the 2000th year of Earth overall. Which...doesn't really line up with what Lucifel told him about phones and jeans, but whatever.*

You as well. I'm Enoch.

When I first came to a world outside my own, more like my own world's future, it was. There are many things that still are.

*Enoch nods.* A city, called Meridian. It had many of the same rules, too...that death was not permanent, in particular.
