The android does not speak, as far as he is concerned this would be inappropriate. Instead he starts playing on the network Amazing Grace, using the Scottish Bagpipe as instrument. He will do so for several minutes.

Dax was maybe an administrators, but the one working on bringing them home and helping them. Data could see he was the most appreciated of them all and he will be missed. Hence it is customary to play a memorial tune to remember and honor him. ]

That is correct. However, not having trusted him before can be understandable. Given what informations were available to us, we had as many reason to trust Dax as we had not to. Maybe his death was the only way he could prove his real intentions to us.
