[Akito is holding a very familiar letter. She has read the words several times, but each time, they make even less sense. Without a warning, she grabs her communicator and quickly familiarizes herself with it.]

I don't take kindly to pranks. If you desire money from the Sohma estate, arrangements can be made. But treating me like some sort of bargaining chip won't do you any good.

[With that said, she stalks towards a door and throws it open.]

Shigure! [There is desperation in her voice. She sees no sense in hiding it. Her desperation makes her harder to control, after all, and she is well aware of that fact.] He was only in the other room...

This goes well beyond a simple prank, I'd say. It's downright madness, going around claiming the world's been destroyed.

That's putting it lightly. [Akito snaps, her emotions getting the better of her.] I agree. It can't be. I won't believe it.

Well that makes two of us, at least. [ He doesn't really seem bothered by her snappiness. It seemed reasonable with all that was going on. ] I mean it doesn't really make all that much sense, it's not like the world was in any kind of flux before I woke up here.

[She isn't the best at keeping her temper, though it isn't as dangerous as it once was.]

There were no signs. [She considers herself well-informed when it comes to news, so this? Doesn't make sense.] They must be lying to us.

[But what a strange lie. And how do they know this is another world?]

[ He's quiet a moment, considering that. It was good to know someone shared his opinion on the matter. He wasn't about to believe they were anywhere but Earth until he had some proof saying otherwise.
