[Genesis Rhapsodos stares into the monitor for a few good minutes, clearly thinking of what to say as she takes all that she saw and did and learned so far today. It was really all mind boggling and utterly depressing. Finally, she sighed softly, her mako blue eyes lowering as she murmured to herself.]

Dreams of the morrow hath the shattered soul
Pride is lost
Wings stripped away, the end is nigh...

[She sighed again and lifted her eyes.]

My name is Genesis Rhapsodos and it looks as though I am to be joining you here. I've already eaten the oatmeal, as I was told to do. But now I wonder what to do now.

Can anyone tell me or will I be doomed to spend the rest of my days here?

Is there hope?

There is always hope, even if things seem really bleak. However, what you do now is fully up to you.

My wings burned and ripped away
But, as I sobbed, I noticed that I had two feet
So, fighting through the pain, I started walking
A new day is waking up, and rising up to greet me..

[There's something very familiar about this person. Genesis? That name... That was the name of one of his friends, wasn't it? But his friend was his age. Will this person know him? Sephiroth stares for a long moment, then feels compelled to respond.]

Hello, Genesis. I am Sephiroth.

There are many books to read in the library, and there are a number of monsters to fight. If you cannot fight, I can assist you.

There is no conclusive proof that our worlds have been destroyed.

Yes, I... know you. A pleasure to meet you again. [Well, at least she's coherent again.] I suppose reading and fighting wouldn't be too boring for awhile...

[But would she really want to do that for now? Not really.]

Well, for one thing, be wary of two residents named Ganon and Sephiroth. The Sephiroth I speak of is an adult. they may act nice, but they're pretty horrible people.

And, if my coming is lined with despair
Then I shall smile and reline it with my hope
New promises shall brighten the night
And the stars shall guide me on.

Sephiroth is here?

[The adult one? So the child she was speaking to was here at the same time as the adult? She stopped typing for a minute or two, to work around the fact that her heart was beating quite fast and shouldn't decipher the emotion within.]

I see. He is that Sephiroth. Foolish of me to hope it was my friend from days gone past, I suppose.

Yes, Sephiroth is here. However, the kid version of him is quite nice, so don't worry about him! He's fine.

You know me? [So she did recognize him.] How do you know me? Were we friends? [He has a sense of having friends, but there are so many gaps in his memory, frustratingly, when he tries to think about that time. He wonders why. What he remembers about Genesis is the sense of having a friend, the color red, and a few other scraps of things. Could this really be his friend?]

I enjoy reading and fighting. [It's hard to say which he enjoys more.] There are also many interesting people here. [Warriors and magicians!]

I don't know. I have been here more than a month, and I have found no proof.

The fact that there are two of them is something I must learn to wrap my mind around.

Yes, I do. We were friends since SOLDIER. I met you when I was in my early teens. [She was certainly glad he did have the sense of them being friends, because she didn't want to me reminded of Nibelheim, right now.]

Oh? Well, that's interesting to hear. I don't believe I remember you enjoying reading. [She chuckles.] I think my recital of LOVELESS turned you off for a time. But what sorts of people are here?

People from alternate universes get pulled here a lot, so this is something that's pretty commonplace in the Tower.

Well, that is certainly information I did not expect.

I don't think many people do expect it when they first some here, but it does make sense, considering this place.

SOLDIER? I was never in SOLDIER. It has been disbanded.

[Confusing. He's not sure what to make of this new information.] I knew a Genesis, but Genesis was my age. We were friends. [But suddenly, he's not so sure of these fractured memories. He should be able to remember his friends more clearly, shouldn't he?]

I like to read about science and different kinds of magic. [In short: non fiction and no poetry whatsoever.] What is LOVELESS?

There are people from many different worlds and times. Most of them are not from Gaia. They have different kinds of magic and technology.

I do not know.

[She had isolated herself and not read the messages on the terminals since the cannibalism post.]

I suppose you try to survive.

Other than a tower that seems to be far too tall to be structurally sound, what is this place?

You were. Or you will be. For a time, anyway.

[She tilted her head at this new information.] I was only friends with Angeal when I was your age. Are you sure?

[Ugh, science.] LOVELESS is an epic poem that is also a play.

Mm, that sounds very intriguing.

No, I won't be. [He's sorry to say it, but it's true.] I would like to be, but there is no SOLDIER. I would join the WRO, but they say I am too young.

I was friends with Angeal, too. [That's another name he remembers as that of a friend.] I'm sure. [He thinks he's sure.] But I do not remember when we were friends.

I don't read poetry. [Ugh, poetry.]

It is. I have learned a great deal from the people here. It is only unpleasant when the researchers run tests.

I do not know if this place is the best place for "living."

[Those eyes. What are the odds.

Even if Sephiroth draws a blank at her name, the red hair at least is...familiar and thanks to Cloud, the relevance of Mako-blue eyes is unmistakable. SOLDIER.]

Just like the rest of us, SOLDIER.

Hope is for those content to wait for it.

[He has to say something but as it's clear from hiding anonymously; he doesn't want to advertise who he is to this SOLDIER, or to anyone lurking, just yet anyway.]
