Is this some kind of joke?
[Why, hello everyone. Today on the screen is the very familiar Kidou Yuuto. Some of you may know him personally, some may have heard about him from a certain chainsaw-wielding girl. Either way, it seems like he's back from his vacation, and from the cold, almost venomous sound of his voice, he is none too happy to be back.]
I realize today is April Fool's day, but this is going too far. Dumping water on someone is one thing but messing with their personal items is not funny.
[And then he finally lifts the ruined item in question to show everyone what happened. What he has is an old soccer magazine. It looks as if it had been soaked in water for a week and then left untouched for three more. Which is.... exactly what happened. The cover is warped and it looks like there is mold growing on it....
Remember the flood earlier that month? Well, Kidou wasn't there for that, so of course he thinks someone decided to do this themselves. And judging by how visibly angry he was, (his face is literally red with anger), it's something that means a lot to him. Someone is going to pay for this.]
I have had an absolutely terrible time during February and the last month that I have been gone, and this is what I come back to?! I'm sorry, but did I do something to anger one of you? Is this why you decided to vandalize my things?!
[His voice raised to a sharp yell, and he takes a deep breath to calm down before he ended up screaming....]
Whoever did this had better be honest and confess. Because if not, I'm going to personally seek you out and teach you about ruining other people's belongings. [He's trying to sound very threatening but there really isn't anything scary about some kid withdookie dreads.]

... Sorry. I forgot to tell you, they switched my room...

We can sit on my bed.
[He'll just go and do that too, so Kidou knows which one it is.]

...
[How to start....
Help him out here Genda, he still doesn't know how to talk about his feelings.]
no subject
... How did you get that magazine, anyway?
Was it from Kageyama?
[Staaares at it.]
no subject
No I....
It.... [Gosh, it was hard talking about this...]
... It was my father's. My... my biological father's.... there wasn't anything of my biological family left, except this magazine.
It's the only thing I have to remember them......
no subject
[... No wonder he wanted to talk about this privately...]
... It must be nice though, isn't it? Having something to remember them by?
no subject
It's... it's the reason I started playing soccer, to be honest. Whenever I kicked the ball, I felt as though I was playing with my father.
[He smiles a bit sadly.]
It's in such a terrible condition now though... I feel as though I've vandalized my father's grave.

[He stares at the magazine some more, frowning. It's beyond repairable, isn't it...
... But then something comes to Genda, and he smiles instead.]
You don't really need that magazine, do you, Kidou?
no subject
What are you saying? Of course I do.
no subject
I think you have something even better to remember them by, and you just don't see it yet.
[He's still smiling, of course, waiting to see if Kidou will realize it himself first... Though his friend's never been one for philosophical things like this.]

You're everything your parents were, and you represent a lot about them. Their intelligence, their quirkiness, even the love they shared.
You're half of each of them... what makes you who you are was what made them special. Everything they had, they passed down to you.
You even look like them!
So you don't need anything but you.
Or at least, that's what I think.
no subject
I'm... everything they were?
[He slowly stares at the magazine again.]
I'm... proof of their existence... [That was... so obvious that Kidou didn't even think about it. It actually surprised him a bit to hear something like that come from Genda, but Genda always had wisdom about the oddest of subjects...
As he thinks about this more, he thinks about his parents more, about Haruna more. Him and Haruna were both living proof of their parents, and it was true that they didn't really need anything else to remember them by. Everything about them were given to them by their parents, even right down to the expressions they made...
Slowly but surely, as he finally gets the meaning to Genda's words, a smile finds its way on Kidou's face.]
Thank you, Genda.

Anything for you, Kidou.

But he gives Genda a bit of an awkward smile back, accompanied with a little laugh.]
...I'm really glad you've come back. I honestly don't think I'd be able to handle living here much longer without you by my side.
no subject
Well...! Don't you think that's a little much?
no subject
You're one of my closest friends Genda, and since coming here I think we've gotten a lot closer than before. You've been here almost as long as I have also, so it just wouldn't be the same without you...
As upsetting as it is to have you stuck in a terrible place with me.
