[Standing in front of the terminal, Waver looked like hell. More accurately, like he got the hell to a terminal within two minutes of sleep paralysis wearing off. His suit jacket forgotten, the usual sunglasses were hanging off a collared shirt as black as his disheveled, untied hair.]
[Let it never be said Waver Velvet was an unkempt mess; there were just much more important things to consider right now than his personal appearance.]
I have a question. Technically several, though all geared toward the same subject.
Has there yet been any evidence of limits to this place's resurrection capabilities? An upper limit on times one can return, for example?
And what of side effects: has there ever been any indication of lingering illness or other such afflictions?
You'll have to excuse me if these are stupid questions. I hadn't had time or reason to consider the implications of this until now.

[Waver was a genius, there were no two ways about it. But some things just couldn't be explained through research and experiments. And he noted those questions without answers were always the most important ones. He didn't dare to look up as Diarmuid spoke; in fact, he'd gone very still as if consciously stopping himself from panicking or overreacting.]
I detest lying. Sure, I may not tell the entire truth half the time, but if I say something, it's going to be honest. So...of course I do.

[Diarmuid reaches out and gently turns Waver's head so that he can look the magus in the eye.]
Whatever the proper label for the feelings we are feeling is, we are two people who care a great deal about each other. That won't change no matter what you call our feelings. I want you to feel free doing whatever you wish to do around me. I hope you will allow me the same.
[He releases Waver's chin, fingers lingering for a moment before dropping away.]
Thank you for confirming what I already guessed. I just needed to hear it. Thoughts have power, but words...they often have even more.

[Despite attempts to shrug everything off, Waver was definitely visibly embarrassed.]
No matter what happens or what this is, you'll always be my friend before anything else.
no subject
[Diarmuid laughs gently.]
Please relax my friend. I am not suggesting, nor do I expect anything different. I just wanted to let you know. Besides, it's not like I have plans to throw you down on the bed and ravish you at the first opportunity.
[A wide smirk crosses his face, all previous shyness suddenly gone.
Waver may wish that shyness was back, in truth.]
For one thing, I am probably dreadfully out of practice...

D-Diarmuid--!

Is this where I ask if you are a virgin and then give you the talk? It's all right, you can tell me.

Are you really sure you want to deal with this for the rest of your life? I may have been more reserved than most of the Fianna, but that doesn't mean I can't be a sassy one when I want to be...
no subject
Either I can live with it or you'll give me a heart attack.
no subject
Is there really no middle ground? No way I can make you relax even just a little?

[His smirk changes to something a little more gentle.]
I mean...I can think of a lot worse ways to go. At least, I'm not too hard on the eyes. People tell me that on occasion anyway...

[Diarmuid gives him a close look, that smirk sliding back onto his face.]
You did grow up a lot, after all. It's only natural people would compliment you.
no subject
[He faltered for a second, that bright red color threatening to return.]
It's--I'd rather not hear it from a bunch of teenage girls, thank you very much!
no subject
[And there a twinkle returns to his eyes to join the smirk.]
...you would rather hear it from the boys?
no subject
No, goddammit!
no subject
I'm sorry. I'll stop. You just react so strongly. I can't help it sometimes.
Forgive me? And please, tell me if I go too far.
[He pauses to rub at the back of his neck.]
I do go too far sometimes. Despite how it looks, I am not so good at this kind of thing.
no subject
I'm not all that great at it either, but it's not as though I'm going to take anything personally.
no subject
Yes, you've developed a thick skin, haven't you? Everywhere but...
[He reaches out to flick Waver between the eyes like he did once before, but stops and only pats him there instead.]
..there right? It's your weak point.
no subject
[Although he didn't sound like he minded all that much.]
no subject
[He bows his head, the fingers of one hand twisting in the blanket on the bed. While he seems embarrassed, he is still smiling.]
I have to be relaxed and feel safe to be this way. It...doesn't happen very often, though it is happening more often now that I've met you and my brother.
no subject
[Waver smiled sincerely, putting a hand on Diarmuid's shoulder.]
If it makes you feel better, I never talk about myself like this. There's no one else I'd trust with this kind of thing. [Beat.] ...No one else I trust at all, actually.
no subject
[He looks a little worried for a moment before pushing that emotion away.]
Though, we should make you a few more friends. It never hurts to have more than one person to watch your back in a place like this.
[Diarmuid suddenly grins again.]
Unless, you really do want to move into the room with me.
