[Standing in front of the machine known as the terminal, Thorin frowned. He had only figured out how to work this from others he had met upon arriving into the tower. He hoped his calls would be answered as he was not in the best of moods right now. Being kidnapped was something any dwarf objected to.]

If anyone is listening to this, I have some questions. Do you know who abducted us from our world and placed us within this tower? I demand to be told why and if there is a way out. [There has to be.]

Also, is there anywhere to find food and drink as I am rather hungry and thirsty. I cannot live on fresh air alone.

[This was directed to his captors, whomever they might be.]

I urge someone to answer this as I am need of aid and answers. I will not be held in this prison willingly. Know this.

[ well goodness that guy seems ..well, like a dwarf. he knows a dwarf, gimli son of gloin, a dear companion he willingly separated from along with the either others of their company. still -- it's a ring of nostalgia. something about him ...

at the best, he's polite, feeling as if he's his uncle, addressing thirteen hungry dwarves, save perhaps, just one, this time. ]

There is a cafeteria, on one of the floors. As for why we're here --

[Another hobbit. As Thorin looked down he saw the young lad in front of him. He bore some resemblance to Bilbo with his mop of curly hair. Relations, perhaps?]

Aye. There is unmistakable evil within this place. Have you just arrived also, hobbit? I would not like to see you become trapped like myself. No fate should befit any creature of good will.

[Thorin despised every part of this retched tower. His mood was ill because of it.]

[ he peered thoughtfully still into the screen, wondering what the dwarf had on his mind as his eyes fell on his. ]

There are great evils everywhere, Master Dwarf.

[ said politely, as frodo frowns a little in agreement. ]

I've been here for a time, longer than I should like. You are from Middle-earth, aren't you?

Aye, I have come to understand this now. I still do not know why we have all been placed within this tower. No one seems to be able to give me an answer. [Would the hobbit know why?]

I am. Thorin, son of Thror, son of Thrain. King under the Mountain. [He nodded.]

What of you, hobbit?

[ well that wasn't what he was expecting, and in complete silence does frodo stare at him. there's a widening of the eyes, an almost stricken expression. surely he's dreaming. king thorin oakenshield, bilbo's friend long departed into the realm of stories, stories a young frodo had loved to learn about, to take part in. ]

..Thorin Oakenshield? Of the thirteen dwarves who went to Erebor? Thorin?

[ he's blinking rapidly, stunned as he glances down, then up, feeling as if he were a child, somehow. ]

--Excuse me, I hadn't meant to --

[ another pause wow this is crazy ]

Frodo Baggins, is my name. You..you traveled with my Uncle!

Aye, 'tis me you are looking upon, master Baggins. [Another Baggins. How many where there in this world?]

I am travelling with young Bilbo Baggins. [He nodded. Alas, what had happened to him now? Thorin was stuck within the walls of this cursed tower with no means of escape.]

You seemed surprised to see me.

[ he means to travel -- so then..he hasn't died. if he hadn't met those who went before him he might have not believed it, but things change. he's been places, he's seen things. so it's with a pause that frodo answers carefully, some of the vigor fading from his face. ]

I think I'd be surprised to see anyone, least of all a companion of my Uncle's.

Aye. There are many things this tower hides and deceived us with. I am sorry they brought you along here too, mister Baggins. [He seemed younger than Bilbo, almost too innocent to be brought to this tower of hell. Who was doing this? Thorin was still determined to fight them.]

Perhaps it would be best if we stay together, mister Baggins. There are rumours of monsters and terrors within these walls.

[ perhaps at a glance this far, he looks innocent. perhaps so, the size, the large blue eyes, but if he were honest, there was little innocent to be found. a purity of soul that some claimed he still had but frodo knew better. knew that he was splintered in two from his wounds, both of the spirit and of the body. and beneath his eyes were shadows, and in his eyes was a silent, stemmed pain.

but still, what can be seen from this screen? ]

So there are, King Thorin. Would you like me to meet you? I think I know a bit more of this place from a longer time spent here.

[He considered the hobbit's response and nodded once. It sounded the best course of action.]

Could we meet on Floor Thirty Two? 'Tis where the outside area is. I prefer to hunt and gather food there. It would be the best place I can think of. [He gave the hobbit a small smile.]

I'm rather fond of that place myself, I'm sure you know from my Uncle that we're quite at home in green places.

[ it's spoken nostalgically, the hobbit's worn face lifting in a slight smile, eyes not losing their spark for seeing this childhood hero in person. ]

I'd be glad to meet you there, King Thorin, as quick as I might.

Aye. Hobbits do admire their greenery. That much I do know. [A small smile spread over his lips. He knew Bilbo also loved his doilies.]
