[ Rare is it for Rin to use the terminals, but when she does her skill with it is anything but decent. Her typing is usually off, so when she uses video early this morning, it's only natural that it catches a a brief glimpse of her. Most of her head is clipped off by the edges of the camera, but she doesn't bother to move into position properly. Behind her mostly is an empty hallway, void of any life (human and monster) surprisingly. ]

Some of you have items that were damaged. [ A simple phrase, but she comes off as awkward in saying it. ] From the weather.

I'll try to help you with them. [ A pause, then: ] With restoration, that is. I might be able to assist, but don't get your hopes up. I'll decide when we meet face-to-face if it's something I want to do or not.

It'll cost you more than likely. [ It wont, but if she comes off too charitable in public, who knows what people might ask of her next. ] We can discuss that in person. It'd be scandalous to invite you to my room to personally discuss it, so think of another place we can meet up.

[ That might have been a bit more personal than she should have let on, so she's quick to follow it up with something else. ]

Besides, repairing some loser's prized possession means they'll owe me. Someday I might have to rely on a favor from someone else, this tower does that you know. Changes people at will.

It doesn't bother me. If I cared about what some loser magus though of me, I'd actually dislike life a lot more.

Oh, a childhood tactic. It's been so long since I've argued with a three year old that I'm just completely blown away and unable to think of a proper counter.

It's a perfectly valid contradiction in your logic. If you choose to be a petulant child when questioned about it, that's your problem.

I just don't see why I have to answer a dumb question when the answer is so obvious.

It isn't as though there are many people here who communicate as mages do. [ A crystallized owl will perch on her shoulders at that, clearly for elitist status. ] This is the main method of reaching people, so naturally we have to use it.

That's why I'm on it at least. Better than going door to door.

As for me, I'm here for much the same reasons. That and I have none of the unfortunate allergy to technology plaguing magi back home.

Point, but allow me to counter with this: those who can't adapt to a changing world are going to die out. Whether the traditional types like it or not, that's just a simple fact.

Magi adapt easily enough. There was no need for computers because we had ways of gathering the same information.

[ A pause, then: ] I guess for a loser like you, relying on a computer for sexual gratification was the best you could do in your youth.
