[ Cecil rarely ever looks happy when she uses the network, but this afternoon, she looks especially worn down— exhausted and perhaps a bit sickly to those who are familiar with her natural, particularly fair complexion. It's true, she's been through a lot lately, but up until today, she's still managed to maintain her composure throughout the majority of her hardships in the Tower. Not so, now.

Ah, but she's not using the dormitory third floor terminal to speak of what's bothering her. As per usual, her purpose is to offer assistance. ]

Good afternoon, everyone. As Hei and Ishtar have already announced, a group of us are teaching residents various skills and passing on education regarding a vast array of topics. I am introducing armed combat.

For those of you I am unacquainted with, my name is Cecil Harvey. On my home world, I was the captain of my country's esteemed military force, the Red Wings, an airship fleet. I am also a knight. I am proficient with most variants of swords, axes, knives, as well as archery. I am asking for fellow weapons experts to demonstrate their abilities for the classes.

However, there are a few weapons I have no great knowledge of or skill with, such as firearms, hammers, and spears, to name a few. While I can still teach the basic fundamentals of armed combat, I admit that I am no expert in them, so I am also asking for warriors who would like to take a more active role in the classes, so that my students are able to have the best training available to them.

If you are interested in anything regarding my training, please inform me. My mailbox is #0063 and my dormitory room is 3-01. Thank you and be well.

I can teach about the weapons you know little about. A Legiones Astartes must train with all weapons, after all.

[ Welp that sure is a huge figure in some kind of war-plate staring at you, Cecil. The armor is grey, and it has kinda a dark knight cast to it, though there are notably no insignia easily notable on it. It has some scarring, as well. ]

[ She's not feeling well, so she really prefers to reply in text messages. His armor worries her a little though, having been an actual Dark Knight herself before. ]

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the title "Legiones Astartes", but thank you for your interest. I do appreciate the offer. What is your name?

[Diarmuid's worried about her. He wants to talk to her more about what is going on, but what more can he say that he hasn't already? On top of everything else, their friends are missing and who knows what has happened to them. This is not a good time for anyone. Still, perhaps focusing on helping others will make things a little better? It's better than doing nothing anyway.]

I would be glad to help out, Cecil. As you know, I am skilled with spears as well as swords, though you seem to have that part covered well enough. I also have practice working with people at a variety of skill levels--from beginner to veteran.

I have been meaning to speak to Hei about helping with the training, but it seems like something has always seemed to happen to keep me from doing so. Please know I am glad to offer my help to you both. Just let me know what you need me to do.

[ She hears everything he says, but to be honest, she's not really absorbing a lot of it. It mostly seems to come out as just a sound to her, that ought to be comforting, considering it's worked to comfort her before, but today, the power is out all over the Tower and the heavy rain outside isn't making her any less afraid. ]

[When Diarmuid gets her reply, dread clenches tight in his stomach. It had been bad enough to have his brother missing, but now Kain as well? What is going on?

He has a million questions he wants to ask her, but only one seems important right now.]

How can I help?

[ Cecil doesn't know what to say, so the response comes after a while. She just shakes her head when she replies. ]

You cannot afford to be distracted right now. You need to focus on finding Lancer.

Cecil, it's no trouble. I will already be looking for my brother. Looking for Kain as well only makes sense. I will also pass his description on to the others who I have looking for my brother. Hopefully, someone will find something. I...really don't like this...

[ It's hard to push Diarmuid away, but she doesn't want him to be distracted. ]

Nor do I. But he is my brother, Diarmuid. You do not know him like I do. He may not listen to you and you would not know where to look for him. He is not like Lancer. I don't expect them to be in the same places.

[It's a shame sadness can't be shown through a text, because there is a sad, confused look on Diarmuid's face.]

I understand, Cecil, but that doesn't mean I cannot keep my eyes open just in case. ... Is something wrong? Why are you pushing away my offer of help?

Will you at least tell me where you are so that I can come and be with you? I may not know what to say, but I will listen to whatever you wish to tell me...

I have skill with the Longsword-- and with the Lance as well, though it is not my primary weapon.
I also have fought much hand-to-hand, as well as with the Longknife, and am skilled at wrestling.

If you desire my help in your endeavor, it is yours. Though I wonder if I am as patient a teacher as you would desire.
[Lancleot pauses, reserved, yet concerned-- Cecil does not seem well. He would not make things more awkward between them, but to leave the obvious thing unsaid would be dishonorable.]

I hope that you are well, Cecil. If I may aid you in any other way, you have only to ask. I am in your debt, after all.

[ Cecil still finds trusting Lancelot and Kariya entirely a little difficult, but she does understand that what happened cannot entirely be blamed on them. She has to believe in something better than every sad, horrific story the Tower weaves for every single one of the refugees here, and she chooses to do so by believing in the good in people, so she tries to trust. She tries to give them the same benefit of doubt that she gives Kain and Golbez, to tell herself that it was no more their fault than it was Diarmuid's. ]

I will inform Hei that if he needs help with his unarmed combat sessions, he can find a valuable friend in you.

Your expertise would be useful to me as well, but please don't feel you must volunteer because you feel you are indebted to me.

Any reference to my aid was intended to be taken in general terms, as an expression of concern. For, and you will pardon me for saying so, you do not look well, Cecil Harvey.

Regarding the training-- I am no longer by nature one to offer my help indiscriminately, nor do I need to search for a reason when I do so.
I simply do as I wish.

Forgive me. I am under considerable strain today. A very dear friend of mine from my homeworld has gone missing and I am extremely worried for him. Of course I would accept your help for the training sessions.

Yes, precisely. We'll be meeting in the library, as Hei has instructed everyone, but I don't know if we'll be staying there, considering it may become somewhat cramped.

What sort of combat do you know?

I know some fencing here and there.

I believe hat will help you in some ways with learning to wield more dangerous swords, though I have not seen a fencing match in quite a few years. Did you learn for personal sport or for more public exhibition?

Bit of both. Mostly it was just a hobby to pass the time, you know?

Another friend of mine from a world similar to my own had the same experience. He's missing now, but there's no grave up for him.
