[[For those are wandering around the tower today or who may be seeking the girl out, she can be found hovering around floors nineteen and twenty. Apparently whatever wandering she did is over as she seems pretty happy with the floors she's on now.]]

[[She jumps a little, because she just hadn't been expecting him. And at first she looks up at him like she would a strange impeding upon her personal time, but when she realizes who it is?

She smiles. And then more tears start rolling down her cheeks.]]

[And there goes his heart, along with the last of all that guilty anger he was feeling. He had planned to immediately drag her upstairs and get her to bed but, hey, plans change.]

[He pulls up the chair from the next terminal over, sitting down next to her and taking one of her hands into his own.]

[[Rose lays her head on their hands, sniffling and rubbing at her eyes with the other hand. At least she laughs a little at his question.]]

[He laughs lightly, giving her hand a little squeeze as he glances at the computer screen. He notes that there were a couple of other responses, but what draws his attention is the solid wall of purple text in response to his last message.]

Heh, you do realize you were typing all that to an empty terminal right? I was on my way to get you, you goof.

Good. [[And then a sniffle before she glances at the screen too.]]

[Another hand squeeze before he lets go of her hand so that he can use the mouse to scroll up and read her entire message to him. He has to resist the urge to roll his eyes at the start, but the more he reads the more he regrets that initial reaction. He would almost be moved to tears of his own by the end of it, were it not for the fact that reading all that made him too numb inside to feel much of anything at the moment.]

[[She can only vaguely remember what she wrote. To be honest her head is starting to hurt from that whole emotional outburst piled on top of the alcohol in her system. But she leans over to read it a little and then just looks at her lap.

[John sighs, leaning forward to wipe Rose's eyes with the sleeve of his shirt.]

It will be okay, Rose. One day, it will. In the meantime, say goodnight to everybody so we can get you to bed.

Okay... [[She turns around and does just that, before closing out and stumbling to her feet. Sorry John, she's going to need to lean against you a little.]]

[He kind of figured she would. In fact, he would have been surprised if she hadn't leaned against him.]

Here... [He shifts a little bit so that he's more in front of her than next to her, bending his knees a little and putting an arm back: the universal signal for "hop on my back." He...probably didn't need to squat down, all things considered, but IT'S THE UNIVERSAL SIGN, OKAY? Just get on his back, Rose. Apparently he's not so much your knight as he is your steed.]

Are you sure? [[She was wary of hopping on his back, unsure if he could carry her or not...]]

Positive! [Rose, come on. The tower gave him his MANGRIT back and you weigh like ten pounds. He's looking at going up nearly 80 floors with you on his back as barely even a workout, okay?] Hop on! I'm not going to make you walk up all those stairs like this.

[[With an unsure noise, she does as told. First she wraps her arms around his shoulders and then sort of...hops up, doing her best to cling to his side with her legs.]]

[He does what he can to help her up, shifting and lifting as necessary until she's settled on his back.]

I think so yeah... [[She's pretty sure she isn't going anywhere. Don't drop her John!]]

Alright. [He turns a little bit to look up to the Altaria who has still been hovering around their general vicinity.] Come on Liv, we're heading back upstairs. You are on guard duty, okay? Toast any monsters that you see.

[Liv chirps affirmatively and flies on ahead to the staircase, waiting for the two humans to catch up before ascending. John follows after her, moving quickly enough that this won't take forever but not so quick that Rose might fall off or something.]

[[Rose holds on, fingers curling into his shirt as they go. Man they have a long way to go don't they...?]]

[Yup. They sure do. John says nothing until they've gone up about five floors, at which point he turns his head a little.]

Mmm? [[Admittedly she was dozing off, but she tries to keep herself awake.]] Of course. I'm 'wake!

Good. I mean that's going to end up being the end result here but...I think maybe we should talk a little bit before you pass out on me completely, don't you?

[Surprisingly, he's not accusatory when he says this. Seeing the messages Rose had tried to leave him has thankfully softened his annoyance and disappointment by now.]
