[Saki looks tired, but she's holding up okay as it stands. She doesn't much like using the network, and right now, she really doesn't like it, but it's the best way to speak to the tower as a whole. She has a book with her, and she cracks it open, beginning to read:]

April is the cruelest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain.

[Anyone who knows Saki knows poetry isn't her usual style, but she's not been herself lately, to say the least.]

Is April always so cruel here? Or was this month just particularly bad?

I'm not sure if April is always cruel here, but..I'm sure that we'll be alright, in the end.

I certainly hope that we will be. I'm never quite sure, anymore. I want to believe, but...it's difficult.

..I admit, sometimes I wonder if we'll be alright too..but we're not sure what the ending to this story will be yet, so, since we don't know, isn't it better to hope than despair and worry?

It is, and for the sake of someone else here, I've been trying so very hard to hold onto that hope. It's just become more difficult with time. It's as if that hope were an hourglass, and the sand was getting closer to draining entirely...

But you know, you can always flip the hourglass before it runs out, you know.

I wish it were as simple as that. There are...I don't want to speak of them over a public venue, but there are reasons that it isn't as simple as flipping the hourglass over again.

The best way I can put it here is that a promise made long ago binds me to a certain fate, and being in this place appears to be accelerating how quickly I move towards it. There isn't anything I can do to reverse it.
