ITP: Maps
[Video]
[Arturia appears on the video, turned halfway and politely asking someone behind her to step to the side. Those who are not new to the Tower will recognize it as a retrieval unit. Apparently the one following Arturia is obliging enough to move out of the frame when she politely asks. She turns back to the screen, runs a hand through her hair to straighten it out. Then begins speaking, apparently unaware she hit the 'record' button a few seconds too early.]
Good evening. For those who don't know me I am 'Saber of White,' a resident who has stayed in the Tower for four months now.
In my time here, a colleague of mine named Diarmuid Ua Duibhne and I have been working on a map of the residential area of the Tower. It includes a list of the dangers of the various floors and the monsters that normally lurk there.
We've recently completed the map and would like the help of the residents of the Tower. Our intention is to create copies and pass them out among the populace so they will be aware of the dangers here. However, we are only two people. Is there anyone amongst you willing to help us pen and create copies? Diarmuid is on another terminal in the media room and will be answering questions alongside myself if you have any.
(ooc: As usual, threadjacking is a-okay! Replies will come from both Diarmuid and Arturia.)

What I require is legibility, not pretty words and poetry. So long as a child is able to understand the writing, I will be satisfied.

[Sayaka unnecessarily raises a hand to match the greeting. It's not like there's anyone else on her end of the video...]
Totally willing copy-monkey right over here.

I know you spend a good amount of time in the library. Someone told me they had found an old printing press there that might be of service to us for some parts of this task. Do you happen to know anything about it?

Sayaka is my roommate, and it would be easy for us to collaborate on this.
[And she filters this part to Saber, shooing away the drone again.]
I wanted to thank you, for everything. I reely appreciate it.

We would be glad to have your aid. The more hands we have to help with this, the faster we can get the information out and helping people. Gathered information is useless if it is not shared. I suppose that is why they are making it so difficult for us to share it. However, this is too important a task to let them stop us from accomplishing it. The tower will be much safer, especially for newcomers, once this information is available for them to have at any time.
[Diarmuid almost adds that he is very glad to see her offering to help since he has noticed she is very involved in the tower from her network posts, but since they have not met, he stays quiet. After all, being involved with the tower often means bad things happen to you, and he doesn't want to accidentally bring up any bad memories.]

As I said before: should you require any aid, feel free to ask it of me.
[She has to make it up to her for not being able to save her from processing.]

It is good to see you again. We would be glad for your help. At the moment, we are gathering as much paper and as many writing implements as we can find since that may end up being what limits our ability to get copies out in the long run and not manpower as I originally feared.
[In fact, Diarmuid is quite excited at how many people have already volunteered to help.]
I am also hoping that the person I talked to who mentioned to me that they had found an old printing press has been able to get it into working form. While it will not help with the actual drawing of the map, there are sections of print that it would be able to help with. Anything that will save us even a little time will be greatly appreciated.

[The man on the feed looks uncertain and uncomfortable. Possibly because of discomfort with the terminal. He leans away from the screen slightly, as though he's afraid it might bite, or he might break it.]

[He turns the filter on here.]
Don't worry. Despite seeming odd, the network is more useful than it seems. I still do not like it that well as I prefer speaking to people face to face, but one cannot argue how useful it is when you are trying to gather people quickly.
[Diarmuid's expression softens.]
How are you holding up after everything, Kain?

Saber of White.
[Lancelot seems to find the title a mouthful, but uses it anyhow, as he deems is only courteous.]

I thank you for the offer. I shall shortly get everyone together to assist with making copies. We need to first gather supplies for such a task--especially with the newcomers at any time.

While we are not turning away any offers of paper, we aren't expecting those we ask to help to provide their own. We are attempting to gather as much paper and many writing implements as we can before we start so those we have asked to help can just focus on copying as much as possible as quickly as possible.

There is a printing press in the library, which can be used to make copies. I have learned to operate it.

Actually, if you would not mind teaching more than one person that would probably be for the best. The more people who can use it, the better.
If you have figured out how it works, does that mean your guide work is also going well?

[Diarmuid pauses in thought a moment.]
Pardon me for changing the topic, but you are Hei are you not? I am friends with Cecil Harvey and she has mentioned you are working on setting up self-defense lessons. Is that correct? I have already offered my aid to her, but I would like to offer it to you as well. Your undertaking is very noble one and I would be glad to help with in any way that I can.

That and he'd like to repay Saber in some way.]

My penmanship is readable and if you'd like, I can attempt to use magic to strengthen the maps.
video; (My apologies for how dreadfully late this tag is! Somehow I missed it!)
We would be glad to have you help. No one has mentioned trying to strengthen the maps before now. It would be an excellent idea! Anything that would help keep them up longer between replacements would definitely be welcome.
Is there anything special that would need to be done to the maps and such to make casting your spells on them easier?
