One agonizing month wandering on the husk of our world, and I found nothing. Not even the smallest trace of El Energy. It just doesn't seem possible to revive it anymore...

What's really bothering you? The thought that it might be hopeless now? Or is it the thought of having lost everything familiar to you- your purpose, your home, your place in a world that'll still go on regardless of whatever you might be going through?
