[A month long visit to a dead world was not the best vacation she could ever have. Not even close.]
How in Elrios do you all manage to go on, knowing that your worlds are decimated beyond repair, by means of magic or otherwise?
[Hence, text. If she talked now she'll probably break into tears.]

Somewhere safe.

That is all. Sooner or later it gets to a point where you can either lie down and wallow in misery or get up and try to live. Simply ask yourself what those you care for would wish for you to do.
no subject
But you have a point. I have friends here still. Comrades who depended on me- and in turn, people I have depended on. They wouldn't want their 'big sister', as it were, to fall so easily.
text
To the fallen, we owe it to them to continue to live and find a way to return them back from the dead.
Until then, we focus and endure whatever the tower throws at us.
text
Perhaps... but finding a way to revive my race- let alone an entire world- seems too daunting a task.
But you're right. No matter what challenges the tower throws at me, I will still try to stand my ground. There are still friends stuck here with me.
Re: text

And, even if there wasn't, I still have friends here that I like, and people to help out. If I were to break down, I wouldn't be able to help anyone.
[Text]
But yes. There are still people I need to fight for, to protect. After all, if I don't, they'll all be disappointed at me. A promise is still a promise, no matter what the circumstances.

You have to focus on them, too.

But- it's just that when I looked upon the husk of my once vibrant world, I just.. lost my purpose.

I swore to protect it. To save my race from disappearing.
I failed. The only mission I ever failed- and the last I ever will.

[ he leaves only that hastily-typed message before abandoning his terminal. R1822322 probably isn't the most identifying designation, but then again there's only one other R in the group.
he didn't see her earlier, coming into the library, but he'll make a sweep of the third floor anyway just in case before starting up toward the nineteenth. shadow strafe and burning rush are useful in being both hasty— and some measure of discreet, at least— in this. and if he has to take the elevator up to the dormitory floors then he will, though he'll skip his own floor to drop down to the second and check there instead. ]

By the time she finished reading the message, she already took off, heading to her room on the second floor via the stairs.]
action; did he just unwittingly make Rena leave all these replies hanging . . .
action; yes you did you horrible monster except not really
action; look how was I supposed to know she would take off like that also 1/2
2.
action; you've known her for how long- though I guess that's moot; she's never been like this
action; well you know, three years give take except time shenanigans who even knows
action; I blame Henrir
action; sure we can blame Henir, sure did beat myself up in a story quest though

Call it foolish or overly optimistic, but I like to think the admins probably just screw around with our heads.

but, hey, I'm not going to tell you that you shouldn't. if you want to roll over and die because it's just too much to bear, be my guest. that'll be one less whiner for the rest of us to listen to.

I just needed to see if others have struggled with this problem. Especially since I once swore to protect my tribe to my last breath.
[Funny how negativity from someone else usually spurs her to stop moping.]

Technology... I have a friend who was- is the queen of robots. If there's even the faintest of chances that our worlds can be repaired... Maybe I should go ask her to see if it's even possible. Perhaps what magic cannot do, Nasod tech can.

I hold the hope that my world is not the only version of my world, and I hold the hope that at least one of those versions is still whole and safe. It's not much, but it's something.

But- your line of thinking is strange, but comforting. I've never considered the possibility of an alternate version of my world. Maybe that's the reason I've been bought here safe and sound- to find this separate world and keep it safe.

The damage to Elrios is extensive... however, there is not enough data available to be certain if it is beyond repair. Nasods are not the same as humans and spirits, but we all live through the power of El. If that power can be returned, then the soul may also be returned.
Please, do not give up.
text
Is it, though? Not a single beat of El Energy resides in the earth, nor does the spirits sing to me in our world. [tl;dr Airelinna where are you]
Still- I will not give up. Not yet. There is still a chance, no matter how faint, that our world can be bought back. I just... need some time to think things over.
