I know what happened. Are you happy with yourselves? Doing things when you don't even know what you're doing, or why. Look what you did... there were people suffering, children crying. Do you know how much pain you caused? It isn't right. It isn't fair.

What gives you the right? You take other people's lives in your hands! Take their choices from them. Deciding whether we should live or die for us. Do you think that we want to die? I don't. While there's life, there still hope. We should keep on living, no matter what. We should always keep--

[After this brief speech, Kariya slumps, breathing heavily. His good eye widens, and the swollen veins in his face seem to pulse for a moment. The effort of speaking has obviously taken a lot out of him. The physical and mental shock of the worms returning has taken its toll on him. He looks as if he's having trouble standing upright at the terminal. A spasm of pain crosses his face. When he speaks again, his voice is weaker.]

I need a healer--is there someone who can help?

The Glamour had us all fooled. Though we all know better, nothing has changed to make us any less susceptible to it.

[Really he can only take Kariya's word for it. He doesn't have any such parasites himself though he does wonder, how their caged souls still make them all very real still - knowing as they do that it's a Glamour system that is doing it.]

You've always had them though, you'd just come back with them anyway.

No. It's very convincing. It seems like there's nothing we can do about it. Even though I know, now, that they're not real, it doesn't make any difference.

I would come back with them, but if someone could heal them, I'd be able to live without them for a while, and that would be worth the risk. I'd risk it, even if it was for a short time. It was--it felt wonderful, being free again.

[He may be one of the few people who'd preferred things that way.]

I've only died twice here. I might be able to go for a while without them, if I'm careful.

[Only died twice. Sephiroth remembers thinking that himself, how he'd been only too willing to throw another one away at Ganondorf's plan, to try and gain more information that would be useful. Then there had been April...]

Be careful though, with what you wish for. This place, as you know has a habit of flipping it and returning bad fortune ten-fold.

You're right. It's a terrible place. I should be careful. I will be. But there are some good things here, too. I know that it might be an awful thing to say, but I'm glad I was able to meet the people I've met here.
