Chatlog 002 ☣ We're young and we're bored

So I hear tell about some pretty interesting people around here- namely, all you 'Servants' or Heroic Spirits or whatever.

[She leans forward, chin in her hands, and taps her fingers against her cheeks.]

You guys have got to tell me some stories. Being all legendary has to make for some interesting stuff to share.

[She makes a slight face.]

It'll sure beat waiting for terrible stuff to happen at least, right?

[You can all blame Archer and Lancer.]

[Lancelot does not enjoy speaking of Elaine of Corbenic. He is not a Stallion, to be put out to Stud whether he wills it or no.]

I died in my Time-- so indeed, for your purposes, I am.
Though I cannot guess why this concerns you.

["Going Crazy", indeed.]
Upon my Summoning, an Enchantment was cast upon me so that I might lose my Reason, but gain in Power, yes. But even without the Mad Enhancement, I am among the Strongest of Servants. If not the Foremost.

[... sore subjects must be his correspondent's specialty.]
My Dealings with Elaine of Corbenic did not drive me Mad. There were such events in my Life as took a tole upon my Nature and Will, but that incident was merely an unpleasant reminder of ills done to me-- and by me.

She was indeed a witch in her own right, and also her father, The Fisher King sought my Blood and aided the spells. A sordid and dishonorable act, it was.

[Alas, the bait goes untouched, as does the bit about the camel. Though Lancelot does raise one brow amusement-- and then lowers it.}

It is my experience that in the old tales "somehow" often means "by magics". The Women of my Time were quite distinguishable from one another, under normal circumstances.

Needless to say, I did not care for "the witch thing" myself.
She did give my Child my own Name, and he grew to be a greater Knight than I, but her rearing had little enough to do with that fact.
