Hi, everyone. It's me, Yukiko.

I wanted to check on everyone who was on the machine the other day. Are you all right? I hope the nightmares haven't been too bad.

[One second, Yukiko is there, talking into the terminal screen. The next second, she's gone. The terminal keeps recording, though all it catches is ambient background noise and video from the terminal bank in the dorms.

She'll eventually be back to answer any 'where the heck did you go?' inquiries, but it won't be before the terminal cuts off.]

I'll make them that then. It's a cool name and a pretty name at the same time.. and maybe people won't immediately guess what it means, so they'll just think it's some random cool name too instead of a word.

[ She seems rather glad with it. Even though it's hard to tell since Urotsuki is.. well, Urotsuki. Permanently blank. ]

[She's from the land of linefacing protags. It's close enough.]

Hey, maybe. You never know. Besides, cool and pretty names are the best ones.

.. Thank you for helping me. [ She nods a little. ] I don't think I could've come up with a name like that by myself, so it's thanks to you.

...I remember seeing you around before, but I don't think I ever properly introduced myself. I'm Yukiko Amagi, and it's nice to meet you.

[ It's a good thing Yukiko introduces herself first, because with Urotsuki being the way she is, she never thinks of social customs nor introductions.. but she nods again when she hears this much. ]

My name is Urotsuki. It's nice to meet you too.. I guess. [ Her usual blank tone doesn't make it sound all that enthusiastic, huh. ]

I think I've seen you around before too.. a few times, maybe.

I was here in the Tower for a while last year, but I got sent home for a while. It looks like I'm back until the end this time, Urotsuki-chan.

[Her laugh is a little sheepish.]

.. You're sure you'll be here until the end? [ She sounds almost sure in a way though - or, well, she does in Urotsuki's eyes. And it makes her blink. ]

How do you know you won't just be sent back again before it's over?

I don't, but...I feel pretty certain about it. It feels like I was brought back for a reason, even if I don't know what that reason is.

Oh. [ .. ]

That must be nice, being brought here for a reason. I think it sounds nice. It means someone wants you.

[ Even if it's the admins, but that difference doesn't mean much in Urotsuki's mind. ]

Mm. I suppose it does mean someone wants me, even if that someone is Jason or Ruana or one of the other admins. It's a lot less jarring, at least, than coming in here blind was.

I hope for you it wasn't Ruana then who wanted you.

Because.. I'm going to kill her. [ She says it very calmly and very blankly, much like how she says anything else. Like that statement isn't any different than discussing the weather or trying to think up a name for her powers. ]

I don't think of her as a friend. I don't know what I think of her most of the time.

[It's strange, not immediately jumping to talk her out of trying to kill Ruana. She's one of the admins, and Yukiko isn't naive enough to think that they'll get to leave the Tower without at least one or two of them dying.]

...she's hurt a lot of people. I can see why people would want her dead.

She's keeping the people who aren't here in the tower anymore from us, right? So it's pretty simple.. if we want them back, then all we have to do is kill her.

[ So in the end, it all comes together pretty simply in her mind. It's just a simple solution. Nothing more, nothing less. ]

[Yukiko frowns a little. The logic makes sense, but she has the gut feeling it's not so simple. Still, they're going to have to confront Ruana at some point, aren't they?]

I don't know how it works with her. That might be the truth, though.

Well.. she seems pretty rude either way. So I don't think it'd be a bad thing to kill her. [ Like that's enough of an excuse. ] So.. we'll see what happens when she's dead.

Being rude in and of itself isn't a reason to kill someone, though.

[There are plenty of reasons to want her dead, but that's the flimsiest of them.]

...not that she's my favorite person ever or anything - not even close - but maybe at least talking to her before killing her would be for the best, just in case.

[ It's hard to tell with Urotsuki's kind of blank expression and tone, but it's almost as if she's starting to sound just a little bit pouty.. ]

Why do we need to talk to her?

...to try and get a few answers. The 'why' and 'how', so we can better figure out a way home...

.. Won't a way just open up if she's gone? She's probably just hiding it.. she can't hide anything if she's dead.

[ Besides, Urotsuki's priorities aren't even with going home or anything. She just wants Kidou back, who cares about anything else? Heck, who even cares if other people can get home or not, she's not even considering that fact. ]

She can't hide anything if she's dead, no, but if she's the one that has to activate it, we're kind of in trouble...

[Yukiko's priorities, meanwhile, are all about going home and getting as many people back home as she can.]

If she can activate it, then we can too.

It's not hard.

[Yukiko sighs a little. It's not so simple as that, she doesn't think; things like that never are.]

I hope it's as simple as that.
