Now that shit's not facing imminent explosion- you know what I don't appreciate? Dying.

[She kicks back, throwing her feet up and leaning back in her chair to stare at the ceiling.]

I mean, the once back home wasn't really all that unexpected, even if I didn't think it'd actually happen at the time.

[She starts tossing a bracelet that's similar to the ones on her wrists up and down with one hand, heaving a sigh.]

But when people make it so that I have to go and put forth all the effort I can with these things, it's kind of inevitable. One big downside to 'em, I guess you could say. But you know what's not inevitable?

[She catches the bracelet with a finger, twirls it around almost boredly.]

Dumbass escalations of force where it's completely unnecessary. Especially in regards to shit that was your fault to begin with. But I mean hey, I guess as long as you get off on fucking with people that way, that kind of thing isn't really a problem, huh? Except really, it kind of is. And I'd appreciate it if it'd fucking stop?

Like seriously.

Get a hobby or something.

Cause I hear about one more stupid 'revenge' fight and I swear I'll rig this whole place to go nuclear.

[And she tosses the bracelet at the terminal to shut it off.]

This is the kind of thing that just starts this crap all over again. I might not care about it, but I don't wanna die again, Puppy. But more importantly, I don't want you to die again.

[He growls and grips the corner of the table.]

Then what do you suggest I do? Just let them laugh at us? Just let them think they can do whatever and get away with it?

I don't want you or anyone else to die, so I'm gonna make sure those bastards get their lesson.

[And there- there's something he's probably never really seen. Asagi is angry- not just irritated or annoyed. She's slam her hands on a table and lose her composure angry.]

Screw those guys, and screw their bullshit attitudes! If you go picking a fight with them, you're just going to start all this over again!

[She settles back and calms herself before she speaks again, running her fingers through her hair.]

Don't you get it? There's no honor to be regained with people like that. There's just pain. And death. And plenty of both to go around.

[Seeing her angry startles him, but it can't quite calm him down.]

If I go an start a fight, I'll make sure it's only my business and nobody else's.

It's because they don't have honor that I refuse to just take this from them.

If you go start a fight, do you know what's going to happen? They're going to do what they did at the tower.

[Her arms cross, and she gives him a long, hard look.]

They're going to take the people you care about, and they're going to use them against you. That means me, that means Ryoji, that means Diarmuid, and that means anyone and everyone else you care about. It'll all go down again, and then? Then I'll be mad.

[He snarls, slamming his fist down into the table, again and again.]

[He mutters, positively shaking with rage and frustration. Especially since he knows Asagi is right.]

[Said with an affectionate roll of the eyes.]

It sucks, yeah, but picking fights isn't the only way to deal with things. So don't get too worked up over it, okay? Otherwise, I might have to calm you down.

[He closes his eyes and nods.]

[He opens his eyes again and grins, seemingly back to his normal self.]

[She leans back in her chair again with a shrug.]

Generally though, I was thinking the kind where I beat you into the ground for a little bit.

Aw. Not the kind where you hug me? Because really, I like that kind better.

I don't really 'hug', Puppy. You know that. There's just two different versions of bringing you to the ground.

...Oh come on, not even when I'm the birthday boy?

[It had been his birthday again, but he missed it due to the big fight with Asagi and then the explosions.]

Maybe. But I'd have to know when your birthday is for that to be valid.

Uh...a week before Imbolc. And Imbolc is at the beginning of February.

That was like a week ago.

But I'm going to assume you want a present out of the goodness of my heart regardless, right?

[A very put-upon sigh, but it's obvious she's going to concede as she sits up straight in the chair and stretches.]

Go grab some strawberries and whipped cream from downstairs- I'll grab us a room in the hotel.

[He has a big dorky grin plastered all over his face as he turns off the feed.]

[Another sigh and she nods before turning off the feed as well and going to fulfill her end of the bargain.]
