I get this feeling... That there's going to be nothing. Especially for me. I hope I'm not the only one who feels this way.

I haven't been here for very long, but I already wish I would've...

Not me, no. Hasn't been time to meet my maker yet, thankfully.

It's just in my "career" I've run into a lot of stuff that comes from the other side. So I have no doubt somethng's waiting over there.

I've never seemed to run into anything like that. It actually sounds very interesting.

Maybe it will, maybe it won't. But I still want to try and put an end to whatever it is that's killing worlds in the first place. And I don't give up until the fat lady sings.

Running into supernatural stuff ... yeah, it's interesting, I gotta admit, but it can be pretty dangerous. Especially whenever the Circle of Thorns are involved.

Circle of Thorns? What is that?

They're one of the nastier criminal groups I face down back home. Actually, calling them mere criminals is kind of an understatement: from all I've found out by dealing with them over the years, they're actually what remains of a magically advanced civilization. Their capital city is buried right under my home town.

It's a shame the only real good egg among them is Akarist. If I could I'd throw the rest of them in the Zig. And blast all the ghosts and demons they love summoning into chunky kibble.

That sounds a lot like my home. There's crime and rebellion against the Empire.

It causes a lot of stress and strain on much of the people and businesses...

Yeah, I know that noise. It's been bad enough trying to pick up the pieces after the Rikti War without every two-bit goon trying to take advantage of how much of the police, military, and hero community got wiped out back then.

If it weren't for the "empire" thing I'd wonder if we were from similar worlds, but I don't think there's any left on Primal Earth.

I come from a world known as Britannia. I doubt that our worlds are the same though they might be similar...

I believe a long time ago, the Empire used to be made of countries. And yes, it is part of the British Empire.

Wow, a world where the British Empire reigns supreme? I bet Hero One would have loved to see that! Sure would beat the pants off of worlds like Praetorian Earth or Axis Earth.

I wonder how common our worlds' histories are, then. Let's see, I'm from the United States of America, and that used to be a British colony centuries ago. Split off around 1776. Anybody like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, or Ben Franklin ring a bell?

And those names... They were forefathers of the country, correct? I'm sorry, we don't go over that much history before Britannia was created.

Yeah, they were. Part of a bigger bunch, but I can't name them all.

When did Britannia get founded?

Hmm, I believe around the 1600's but I don't know for sure. I actually only know that they invaded and took over Japan in 2010.

Oh jeez. What brought that on?
