...What do you think will be waiting for all of us on the other side?

If there even is "another side".

I get this feeling... That there's going to be nothing. Especially for me. I hope I'm not the only one who feels this way.

I haven't been here for very long, but I already wish I would've...

[ and he just leaves it at that. he doesn't want to say that he wishes he had been left behind - because there's Rolo here, even a Suzaku, and all the other people he has met. but he feels like he shouldn't be here. a part of him feels like he doesn't deserve it ]

Even if I wasn't a believer, it's kinda hard to ignore things like ghosts and demons.

Not me, no. Hasn't been time to meet my maker yet, thankfully.

It's just in my "career" I've run into a lot of stuff that comes from the other side. So I have no doubt somethng's waiting over there.

I've never seemed to run into anything like that. It actually sounds very interesting.

Maybe it will, maybe it won't. But I still want to try and put an end to whatever it is that's killing worlds in the first place. And I don't give up until the fat lady sings.

Running into supernatural stuff ... yeah, it's interesting, I gotta admit, but it can be pretty dangerous. Especially whenever the Circle of Thorns are involved.

[Nerva Spectral Demons can all go die in a holy fire. Or die again, as the case may be.]

Do you mean if we die here? I do not know. I should think nothing, for the destruction of worlds consumes even Heaven and The Darkness, and planes of the mind. It is one more reason we must succeed.

On our worlds, I can say there is absolutely not nothing after death on mine, and I've been given no reason to believe this isn't true for other worlds as well. In my world, a soul is sent to Heaven for judgment and sorting after death. I should hope it is the same for your world.

*And not...some other strange world where Heaven and The Darkness are opposed but Heaven concedes souls to its enemy willingly. He still didn't understand that, but he wasn't going to ask the one person from such a world he knew here what it meant.*

There are many who believe in what you do in my world.

I, myself, am...uncertain though.

It is not mere belief for me and my world. It is fact, I have been there for myself, and my companions are angels. What is belief is that many worlds share this trait; it would only make sense for complex things which are made similarly to share a maker, even if His disposition may differ from world to world.

Do you doubt it for lack of discerning it with your senses, or does something else cause it?

I'm not sure what to believe, to tell you the truth.

In my world, religion is long gone. There's not much that people can even be "hopeful" for. And it seems that...this place is heading in the same direction.

We may have little time left, but I do not think this is the case. So long as there is time, there is room to hope, however small.

I have seen beyond this, and it is my hope there is nothing. But the truth is far worse, and I do not want to die, not like this.

Worse? How so?

Imagine an entire existence of suffering and neverending war, where you are nothing but slaves to the laughing mad gods, or their food. That is what awaits, at least if what I saw was true.

That is... Is this your envision of Hell?

No. Not nearly so mythical. We know what lies in the warp, what daemons there are. Hell is the fanciful imagining built up around a much colder truth. The universe doesn't care, and there are foul, corrupting forces out there. A primordial Annhilator. The forces of Chaos. Hell is just the word the ancients used to describe something bad that they didn't understand.

Ganta is Shiro's friend. Ganta came here to find Shiro but one day he... vanished.

At first Shiro thought he was playing hide and seek. Shiro searched the whole tower but she couldn't find him.

[So obviously he must be on the other side, waiting for her.]

He's your friend...

I'm sure you'll both be reunited.

Mister thinks so too?

[That makes Shiro strangely happy.]

Shiro misses Ganta a lot but Shiro will never give up on seeing Ganta again.

Is there someone Mister wants to find back too?
